Let me show you some math:Thanks so far guys. It's just the 2 of us for a few years at least, so no need for it to be a family car. Again, she's on-board already - but if it can't get 25-30 MPG on our trips I will need to go another route.
I'm aware that the V6/V8 choice has me limited to a 2015-2017. Also I'm assuming stock everything here, and not the lower gearing option in the read end.
I think in a year and a half we've put 8,000 miles on the Outback, so 2-3 MPG difference between the V6 and V8 at highway speeds would be worth the extra power to me.
