Thank you for your advice, excuse me if I ask you but I'm not sure I've understood; what do you mean for cradle? What part is it? Thank you!
http://www.americanmuscle.com/frpp-rear-subframe-kit-2015.html

Above is what your cradle/subframe looks similar to. I've read of some folks having their factory subframe off center by up to half an inch because of the clearances the mounting design enables. There are four blue colored subframe bolts and the clearances between the subframe bolts can add up to the subframe being off center. This is why an alignment is a good practice if you lower or remove the subframe for any reason. Your vehicle likely had the wheel alignment done at the factory and you shouldn't need to re-align the wheels unless you lower the cradle for some reason such as changing out the subframe or differential bushing set-up or if the tiny subframe misalignment really bugs you and you decide to center it better. I know Steeda makes an alignment kit for the subframe and there might be other methods for precise centering besides using a tape measure.

And then, after it seemed reasonably safe, on the Stang!

I'll have to try their shampoo next. I got one of their wash pads as well, that thing is amazing.

Came out really nice! I'm thinking about picking up some stuff from Adam's polishes as well!

Plasti Dipped Rear End

So I finally got around to Plasti Dip the rear end diffuser area on my Base GT.

I think it came out pretty good.

This is the first time I have done anything like this and was a bit nervous, afraid I was going to mess something up and make a mess of my rear bumper.

But I took my time (About 3 hours total) and prepped it pretty good. In fact, you guys with more experience might say I over prepped after looking at my pics, lol. But I figured better safe then sorry. Sure I could peel off and do it again if I messed up, but who wants to do that. You want to make sure you get it right in one time.

For anyone with a non premium bumper who is thinking about doing this, this is really a no brainer. It is such a great mod at such an inexpensive price.

It would also help if you could raise your end a little to get better access to all of the areas. I was inspired to do this after looking at pics of other members who have done this.

I would love to get the GT350 rear end diffuser with new quad tip muffler, but in my case that also involves getting a premium bumper first and paint, so that is a really expensive game to play for me.

I think I just might get a Magnaflow Street Cat Back and call it a day.

Since I have a Magnetic Metallic, the diffuser area does not pop as much as it would have if I had a lighter color like white or yellow but still I think it brings a continuity to the whole look of the car.

I am really happy with how it turned out.

Used about 1 can and about 6 coats, waiting about 15 minutes between all the coats.

Let me know if anyone has questions if you are considering doing this.

Thnx

Jay

Thanks!

Recommend that H2O Gloss and Guard, seems to work well! The wooly brush worked great on the vans rims but I couldn't really clean the back side of the spokes on mine. The barrel was much more accessible on mine though, except up front with the brembos. The fender brush was nice to have as well, seems like I'll power through the wheel cleaner in about 6 or so washes though. Id like to get their detail brush that can clean the lugs as well, it was pricey though. I started with them buying their polishing pad kit a few years ago.

Came out great! That's easily one of my favorite mods I had done to my car.

I installed a tire rack to hold my spare set. My car is parked directly below :eyebulge:, so I'm showing a lot of trust in this rack on day one. A keen eye may even spot my other storage idea.

Happy New Year all.

Had the same idea with the exhaust before I decided it was easier to just put it in the back of my friends barn. :D
