me too :ford::ford:I try to shift mine at 7200 but it revs so damn fast that I have taken it up to 7700 a few times.
check out this link, it talks a bit about Predicted and Immediate torque control....Thanks Plimmer! Could you explain why fuel and spark don't cut out together? I'm not knowledgeable about motors, was curious why you would still want fuel after stopping spark.
Yep, my fuel shutoff is the same about 6800-6850 according to engineering mode.I believe those initial hash marks are the "caution" ones with the engine redlining at 7K. However, I have experienced fuel shut off at 6800 rpm.
Is this why the gtpp cars can't hit the 60 mph on second gear? Or is the speedo off?Yep, my fuel shutoff is the same about 6800-6850 according to engineering mode.
Edit: I guess it's actually the spark cutoff which occurs at 6850. I've never seen rpms past that number
At night, the tach lights up red when its time to shift.isn't there a built in shift light in the premium? I haven't seen it
You need to be driving at night time and you can't have your MyColor set to red, and then floor it to 6500 RPM and watch the light show.isn't there a built in shift light in the premium? I haven't seen it
See the attached tables from the stock 2015 coyote:
The tables on the left are spark cut tables, and kick in first. As you can see stock is 6,850 rpm at normal operating temps. Basically the ECM will pull timing to less than zero (-2 degrees in my logs).
The fuel cut is 7,000 rpm, I've never hit it.
Most people seem to agree the stock motor is good to 7,500 rpm. I've got my fuel cut at 7,500 rpm and the spark cut at 7,300 rpm.![]()
Installing VMP gen 6 stage 3 week. I want to avoid over reving which can stress rings and cylinders liners. What would you suggest setting rev limiter for safe reliable daily street use. Will never take track ?See the attached tables from the stock 2015 coyote:
