Is there any way to add the track mode to a non premium car?
What all is in charge of that?

That's the stock mapping for the selectable driving modes. They can be adjusted to your liking by your tuner. But yes, essentially they can make them whatever you or they want. I am trying to see what the stock throttle map looks like on non Premium cars, but I'm assuming it's just Normal mode all the time. Which tuners can adjust as well. Same thing essentially happens with the Pedal Max and Sprint Booster. The PCM doesn't recognize pedal travel it only recognizes the voltage signal sent by how much you move the pedal. It interprets that voltage and makes the percentage to open the throttle blade. So when that signal is boosted by the device, the PCM thinks your requesting more throttle then what you're actually moving the pedal. It doesn't make it any "faster." The only way either of those devices makes throttle "faster" then you can move the pedal is when stomping on the pedal and commanding WOT bc it will command 100% before your foot guys all the way to the floor. But even then it's only by a few hundredths of a second. You can actually duplicate everything that device does by just moving your foot faster on the pedal to the desired throttle. Meaning if you want 75% throttle "fast" just jam down the pedal to 75%, quicker with your foot. So all those devices do, like the selectable driving modes, is allow you to achieve that throttle with less foot speed and travel. Or in the case of Snow mode, less throttle is commanded. And you wouldn't want to use your Booster or Pedal Max on snow mode because it's counter productive. If I'm reading this right, the Sport+ and Track mode don't have linear throttle mappings? It appears that with the pedal depressed 50% of the way you get 60% throttle, and at 85% depressed you get 100% throttle. In normal its perfectly linear which is technically what you would want for the track. Am I reading this wrong? This is what mickey mouse tuners do who want you to think their tune is powerful and responsive, they just make it give more throttle with less pedal...
Linear compared to what?If I'm reading this right, the Sport+ and Track mode don't have linear throttle mappings? you are still in charge of your car and your pedals. you don't drive by pressing the pedal to 48.7% do you? no.....you give it enough gas to do what you want to do. you give it more or you give it less. that's pretty much all there is to it.I'm not comparing DBW to a cable. I'm saying that for track use you don't want to think you're giving 75% throttle going out of a corner and then all of a sudden your car gives you 100% throttle.
I have a premium car so I have track mode but I don't know if I want to use it on track if it does this.
I'm not a tuner expert or anything, I'd like to know exactly what "Track" mode does though so I can understand better what it is I'm feeling that is different. That's all.

Yes I'm in charge of the pedal but track work is all about smooth inputs including throttle and if track mode makes the input uneven then obviously I will not be as smooth. Changing of the throttle map to something non-linear like what the track and sport mode give is not ideal for optimal power delivery on turn exit. For those of us who don't plan to get a tune its good to know...you are still in charge of your car and your pedals. you don't drive by pressing the pedal to 48.7% do you? no.....you give it enough gas to do what you want to do. you give it more or you give it less. that's pretty much all there is to it.
what track mode does it posted above. what you are feeling in track mode is a slightly more open throttle blade vs the pedal effort. it doesn't give full throttle blade until 84.8 pedal, it is a blend below that to the 49% pedal / 61% throttle blade cell. the 75% pedal figure you reference will be in the 85% throttle body range.
just so you know, all of these values are editable, including the axis values.
According to the user manual holding the AdvanceTrac button for more then 5 seconds "disables " Traction Control and Stability Control in ANY driving modeYes I'm in charge of the pedal but track work is all about smooth inputs including throttle and if track mode makes the input uneven then obviously I will not be as smooth. My question is how do I keep the normal throttle mapping and disengage the traction control to the same level as the track mode? Would 1 click of the traction control toggle switch give that?
