Sadly had to put her away for the winter. Changed oil and filter, filled tank with 91 Ethanol free with some Sta-bil, pumped the tires to 47# for flat spots, put a battery tender Jr on the battery, added some dryer sheets in the engine bay for possible mice, put a cover over the girl and called the insurance co. to switch to storage insurance. Sad but at least it won't get any more miles on her and it won't see any salt or moron drivers to hit it or get any door dings etc.

Went and had the suitcase removed, installed an X-pipe, and got some 4 1/2" tips....kind of surprised it doesn't sound much different. Would have thought it would have been louder, still can't barely hear it running when I'm standing next to it, kind of disappointed, but a friend said I should try this before going all cat-back....

I had my base sound system upgraded by a local shop. I had been talking to the shop owner, who has been in the car stereo business for over 20 years, about what i wanted in the final sound quality. After a couple visits and demonstrations with different amps and speakers we came up with a great sounding system. I have the original head unit with all the steering wheel controls intact. I now have an AUDIOMOBILE 4 channel converter with remote bass adjustment, hidden inside the console and a MMATS Pro Audio Amp driving an AUDIOMOBILE 10" Sub mounted in an enclosure behind the back seat. We left the Teeters in the A pillers for the highs, And the 4, 6.5 speakers for the mids. The Amp and the sub really make the whole sound stage come alive. The sound is very clear and clean and the bass is very good. There is no distortion, rattles or buzzing at all. I prefer Modern Rock and Classic Rock and this system kicks ass with my CDs. Yes i am old school but i love the sound quality of CDs. The best part is my interior looks totally stock with the original head unit.

That's cool, I went and talked to a place today too, and I don't know what your setup cost, but they quoted me enough to almost buy a Whipple. I don't know about you but I don't want to spend that kind of money on music. Hopefully you got a good deal. They wanted $850 for a 12" sub and an amp. Had no idea it would be that expensive, and that was with their 50% off deal because of the LA Auto Show this week...

Nice, did you get any before and after dyno numbers to see how much the tune only helped out?
Unfortunatly not....but I did go to the track with off the shelf SCT tune and ran a 12.6 @ 113.6

Now with lund 12.5 @ 115.2

The DA was better the day I ran the 12.6

Simmons

ps the lund tune made 418whp

Very nice Darren! Did you send him your stuff to be painted? Or you purchased new painted parts from him?

You'll be sad to know I'm selling my Honda, it needs some work that I just don't feel like putting the money into it to get it right. I have too many other things I would rather put money into. So I'll be DDing the Mustang here soon.[emoji22] But this is the best position I have been in with a car for while. With 0%, no negative equity rolled in after selling my 13, and 5700 off MSRP with rebates. So mine as well enjoy it while I have it. Then in a 2-3 years maybe try and find a used GT350 for under 40k. Wishful thinking... maybe...

You're doing it the hard way.

Put the tape about 1" from the edges emblem and just make a simple box around it. Then add some paper to prevent overspray which is a PITA.

Spray your 4-5 coats of dip and let it dry. Then pull off the masking and peel the excess dip around the emblem. The dip will tear easily right at the edge of the emblem and leave it perfect.

It's hard to believe it works that way until you do it once and see how easy it really is.

Lol of course I am. It peels right off the paint??

I've had this a week and a day, might be a little over cautious...garage looks like a sterile field operating room compared to usual.

Yep it will peel right off as long as you get at least about 4 coats on it. Over-spray is a pain to remove, where it is fully coated is easy.

Here is a video:
