Cancelled my extended warranty from my dealer, and got a 2.5k check in the mail. The responsible thing to do is to dump it all on my car loan, but tempting to spend it all on mods.

curious as to why you did this? I opted for the extended warranty.. is there something I should know about it?

Just a note for those wanting to do this... read the fine print on the warranty contract! Most warranties (including the Ford ESP) will not cut you a check if the car is financed. Instead, it will be credited to the principal of your loan.

Yea. My dealer went with an outside company for the service plan, called Service Group. http://www.sgifs.com/

The cancellation part of the contract noted that it might be applied to the loan, but it's kind of vague. I fully expected it to be credited to the bank, but I got a check in the mail as a surprise. :shrug:

Couple of reasons. Modding is number 1. I wasn't necessarily planning on modding (exhaust was the extent of it), but the mod bug bit hard.

Secondly, read your contract and what it does cover... not a whole lot. And from reading it, I get the impression that they won't actually make using the coverage easy (there were a lot of outs for them). Lose a receipt for purchasing oil or an oil change, and they can deny your claim. It felt like a scam to me, making the decision to cancel it a right one for me.

Most people here that have the extended plan, probably has the Ford one. My dealer probably went with the lowest bidder.

Hah, I hear that. I'll put a portion of it (at least 50%) to the principal (probably ). But that quote that Beefcake gave me on catted Stainless Power Headers makes me think I'll be running with headers in the near future.

Anyone here know of any issues with eibach sport lines and 1 inch spacers? Got the spacers in the mail today and springs should arrive tomorrow.

I had David [MENTION=6592]BigWormGraphix[/MENTION] and crew remove my gunsmoke lens tint and install the charcoal. They just weren't dark enough before. Looks sick now.

I also had them replace the chrome GT emblem for the UPR gloss black one. That'll hold me over till the coyote badges get here.

Too dark for pics and it will be raining for the next week, so it'll be a while before I can show her off.

I have Eibach Sportlines and 1" spacers on all 4 corners.

Pulls the wheels and tires out just perfect IMO.....I wouldn't have it any other way now.:cheers:
