Corvette is in the low 3000lbs in weight and makes a ton more power. Why you even using that in the same sentence as Shelby?

It's the same every year with each manufacturer. One will always be faster than the other. That's how competition works. Right now the Shelby is faster than the z28, next model release the chevy will obviously be faster until Ford brings in its next updates.

Incorrect. The corvette makes LESS power than the gt350. Only the supercharged z06 makes more.

You can argue the vette makes 26 more ft-lb torque, but then again the mustang gt350 makes 71 more hp.

So there is really no debate on which car make more power.

And the z06 isn't even matching the last couple years of gt500 power.

The Vette isnt even a proper comparison to a 350 so it doesn't even matter. The Camaro is the competition. And the C7 weighs 300+lbs less than the R.

Maybe you should remember that since you're the one who brought it up.

Actually, he didn't. :/
Actually he did. Go back and read what I replied to.

I replied his comment about corvette power COMPARED TO the gt350. My reply therefore, correcting him, was valid.

He was t the guy who first brought up the comparison, but in chiding the guy who did, he made his own comparison.
Thanks for playing.

Your post is immortalized in my quote.

Ironically, while trying to correct someone else for comparing the cars, you erroneously compared power (and weight). You compared corvette power to gt350. You were wrong and were corrected. I simply fact-checked you.

Learn to accept it and move on.

Like nobody ever raced a 1969-1970 boss 302? Because in reality that's what this car is more like. Even though the 69/70 boss 302 was a road course car people still drag raced them. And I don't see the problem with it. More people will race in the straights on the street then hall ass around a corner. I hate when people say that it takes no talent to drag race. It takes more talent then the non Sayers know. Just because it's a straight line doesn't mean it's pointless.

If I may interrupt for a second...

Do we have an easy to read 1/4 mile "fast list" or something on this forum for the GT350 or R? One that states if the car was stock and if not, what mods it had, etc.

I ask because I want to know what the best stock ET and MPH were for a GT350 or R. Like, showroom stock...stock tires, stock tune, etc. Or have they all been DR and tune runs?

Thanks.
