Oh so buying a Chevy is the answer? The corvette handles equal to the Shelby and is also faster in the 1/4. The new SS Camaro is about as fast in the 1/4 also. And we don't know how well it'll handle against the Shelby either with the new platform. I think if and when the gt500 comes out it'll be the best of both worlds. Until then I'm pleased with my gt350. Noting a few bolt ons and driver skill can't fix.

It's the same every year with each manufacturer. One will always be faster than the other. That's how competition works. Right now the Shelby is faster than the z28, next model release the chevy will obviously be faster until Ford brings in its next updates.

Of course the C7 is better in the quarter mile. The C7 makes a ton more low end torque, weighs 3300lbs., and has better weight distribution.

No shit. I know what the op says you obviously didn't clearly understand my comment to him. I'm well aware of the tune and tires along with the suspension add on. He told someone if they wanted a 1/4 mile car r buy a Chevy. Learn to read and follow before you judge me.

Sooner or later because of the current configuration of the mustang, camaro and corvette will reach a ceiling on 1/4 mile times. The z06 is almost there. All wheel drive with electric motors is the next configuration if better times are in the cards. Really the 11's on a street car was insane 5 years ago. I'll be happy with what the new Shelby can do both on and off the track. Crazy happy you might say.
For the average joe the new Z06 is a weapon on the street. Thank Got the average joe can't afford one. The Shelby is a fast car for most people and is predictable on the track. It's fast and can be driven with confidence. That's one reason it won the PCOTY .

350 lacks low end torque, I highly doubt it.

The car is on the stock tune w\93 pump and Mickey Thompson DR and some BMR components that was it. The track wasn't the best it only had one prep done first thing in the am so everyone was having issues on hooking it was killing our 60ft. There will be better times to follow we plan to be on the track again soon.

I want to install ford performance rear cradle and irs bushing kits on my Shelby. And want to upgrade to a DSS carbon fiber driveshaft and their axles. Does anyone have any info whether the Shelby axles are any different. I know they are different then the GT 5.0L but I'm not sure if the spline at the hub or length is any different.

Bushings.. Most probably the options below that eliminate wheel hop.
