I have one of these in my garage, awaiting my car to come in. If I have any issue with the tape, I'll simply use two screws. Who cares about two screws under there?

I just want the ability to quickly remove/replace the stupid front plate and don't like the location of the other brackets.

No, it does not do that. You simply clean the leftover tape residue with Goo Gone after removing the base.

I have repeated this removal twice on my car with no effects on the paint.

Is there any more problems with it falling off? I live in vancouver BC so it's only going to reach max 30 degrees celcius in the summer, but jesus if this falls off while I'm driving I'm gonna be pretty god damn angry!

Purchased mine in June or early July and it has been great. I followed the installation instructions and it has been rock solid. I trimmed the plastic bolts that hold the plate so they didnt protrude past the plastic nuts and then hot glued felt pads so to the ends so they wouldnt stratch/scuff the paint if they came in contact with the bumper (couldnt bring myself to installing the bolts through the back of the plate facing front). I've had the car to the top of 4th without any issues.

Yeah, I ended up just zip-tying my plate to my grill instead, because the mounting tape kept coming off. Even after craig sent me a replacement, that one wouldn't hold either. This all happened during summer, and it couldn't hold up to the heat. The weight of my plate would just slowly bring down the 3m tape

I have had mine since May of this year when i got the car with zero problems. Love the look of it and the ability to remove for car shows.
