I hope you have beeter luck with yours. I don't know if my car is lower than most or parking urbs or higher in my area but my chin mount tore off backing off a curb stop at Starbucks. Since then I heard my chin splitter rubbing on several parking curbs. Enough that I'm considering just reverse parking from now.

Your 1.5" drop definitely isn't helping there so probably would be wise to back in. As for me I've had it on the car for 10 months now and its been fine. Slightly scrapped it once but not enough to do anything (it did save my chin spoiler from damage) and the vast majority of curbs it clears. Its also been "track tested" :D to over 100 mph.
