I really want a GT for the power and V8 symphony. But I have a 20lb dog that loves having his head out the window in the back seat (currently have a Jetta). The Mustang will not low that. My gf is with me a lot so dog in the front is not really feasible.

And she doesn't want her Charger to be the designated "dog" car.
I also work from home and currently have no covered parking. So the Mustang would sit a lot outside in the parking lot. I'm in a warm climate so snow is no issue. And having a second car for me is not an option.

Should I still go Mustang and hope my dog will just settle for looking thru the rear triangle? Or just stick with my Jetta?

And yes I'm one of those who does allow my dog in the car obviously. He doesn't shed and isn't all that messy.

Thanks for any advice.

Then if your requirements are for your dog then a mustang isn't for you. My shepherd sits front seat . Charger is fun and the new ones are nice . But honestly if your dog wants a window mustang could be a pain .

Of course I could just convince myself that it's not safe for him to stick his head out the window.....I mean I wouldn't do it. :)

The dog will enjoy the brease from the front window just fine. Even from the back seat.

I was actually going to point out that it's not safe for your dog to have his head out the window. I have two and don't let them stick their heads out the window but they have car seats so it's not an option.

How about a twin turbocharged AWD Ford Taurus SHO? 365 hp and torque aplenty, even down low. Then your dog will have his own window.
