While the actual vehicle is delayed for unknown reasons, is it reasonable to assume they could still be moving along with scheduling orders for the build process? For example, could the VIN assignment process still be occurring, or would that get put on hold because of the backup of the actual assembly of the cars?

Enzo. I feel ya. I don't really understand why people get so bent out of shape for you asking a reasonable question. You were told something was going to happen. It didn't and you haven't really been told why. That's frustrating.

I'll just say this. You want to wait for this car. Be patient. Let Ford Performance do their job before releasing the cars. They are working through some things. I want my car to be 100 percent as good as possible before I take delivery and that's what they are working on. I've tried to forget I ordered one and I'll just get excited when I find out it's been built.

Some people have no better duty in life than to apply misery to others' lives... it's their destiny, and they do it well. Enzo, great question. It is on ALL our minds. Thanks for thinking aloud for us all.

As for the holdup?... IDK what or why, but I can speculate that it is for the common good of the car and their owners, as well as the reputation of Ford Performance. Do you know how much crap Ford would receive for letting a Z06 tragedy out after all the flack Chevy has received?... it would be preposterous and tarnish the 50-year legacy of the namesake of this car. So, if they have to spend a little longer to put quality behind that nameplate, I'm good with that.

For those of us who's cars have yet to be manufactured, if there is something wrong with the produced cars, then we will be the beneficiaries. That's how I'm looking at it and will wait patiently and let FPR do what needs to be done to give me a quality product.

How do you have supplier issues on the 2015s already built just sitting there waiting to ship?
Pic me, Pick me... LOL

:gossip: Maybe there is an issue with a "supplied" part that could already be installed.

Just Chill Folks. Ford wants to make sure this car is 100% legit before being released to the public. Yes, the delays do suck. We will just have to wait patiently. (I'm trying my best to do that too!)

I've heard there's an engine issue!!!! :D
No way, I heard its the stripes. They kept trying to get the panels aligned right, then the stripes out be off, so they would redo the stripes. Then someone would look at the car sideways and the panels would shift again, then more stripes. So they ran out of stripes. Totally the stripes, im sure of it.

There is no doubt about it....I'm waiting for this car. Put way too much time into finding a dealer just to throw it away. I'm with you, if it takes another few months so be it this car will be amazing and like you said, "will be 100%"

I've come to realize people wake up in the morning just to be an asshole. I'm over it haha but I agree with your statement. Chevy has taken such a hit with recalls this passed year that I really wouldn't want to buy one. Sure recalls happen and in some cases (airbags) aren't that manufactures fault but this car is soooooo worth waiting for!!!!

You don’t want to know

Of course everything will be delayed. Ford can't schedule and hold a spot on the production schedule for a vehicle that can't be produced (for whatever reason). It has a lot of fast-selling "regular" Mustangs to build.

2016 VIN 356 has been pushed back a week also.... estimated build date went from 10/12 to 10/19 as of today.
