Full Race

does anyone have the full race CAI?

for $195 seems like a pretty sweet deal.

I ordered this on Saturday and did fedex 2-day because I'm heading to my father in laws tonight to work on the car. Monday they emailed and said they forgot to add shipping, I said no problem. I missed the part where they said they couldn't ship it to where I asked, it had to be the billing address for the first order with them. So I emailed them this am to get the tracking number so I could wait for fedex and then head up. They wrote back and said, sorry, he forgot to mention in his original email that it is on back order and may ship by the end of next week. And asked if this is an issue...

YES! It's an issue!!!!

I understand something slipping and not being mentioned, once..... But this place keeps getting sketchier and sketchier every time I ask a question there is something else they "forgot" to mention.

I cancelled my order. They may "forget" to put the intake in the box when they would have shipped it....

I for one will never deal with this company again.

Terrible ...... very misleading.

sorry to hear about all the trouble you run into. hopefully I wont have to deal with all that. :frusty:

I got an email back from them letting me know that the intake is on back order for 2 weeks and they will send me a tracking number as soon as they ship it out.

Any company that "forgets" to notify a customer that a product is on back order is a shitty company.

Any updates on the 4" intakes from passenger fender or other designs? Need to order one here really soon , but the classics are great, just looking for the new best thing to toss in my Ecostang.

Anyone have an opinion on Airaid's inlet tube? After viewing and listening to many of the youtube videos out there, I know I don't want an open cai. I do not want the added noises, not my thing. I have looked at the Airaid box cai but how much of a difference is there in that design compared to a K&N drop in filter in the stock box (which I have now) with an Airaid inlet tube? I put on a MBRP inlet tube on the stock air box with a drop in filter on my FoST and never did any testing to verify an improvement, if there was any, but in my head it was an improvement. :D

My Airaid is really quiet. I find it hard to believe something that quiet even in the box is really adding the 40hp American Muscle claims in their catalog.

I did the Airaid inlet tube and K&N and think it's the same as a CAI especially if you're not tuning

I've been contemplating buying that with a Green drop-in filter...but at that price point I could have an MMR or MAP intake.

If the Airaid tube was $100, I could justify it..but $150 for something that the only positive is it removes the accordion section? Need to see some real world data on it...it is kind of telling that there is none.

I recently installed a MMR intake, took 15minutes to install, perfect fit, awesome quality and sound. Highly recommended.

I put a drop in filter in my car... I guess it works great. Honestly, after reading about CAI, I think these companies have great marketing. A Ford engineer claims that it used to be that CAI increased hp... he said nowadays, it is all marketing and their claims are false. Of course he could be saying that since he works at Ford... who would say "we designed these and they work okay. I would always get an after market CAI because they work better over that crappy stock one we put on the car".

Great if someone could take all of them and run 0-60 / 0-100 and see if there is a difference over stock.

I wonder if the new GT350 cai will fit and work on the normal GT. It would be a cool addition shelby part.

I saw the MMR intake at Mustang Alley during the dream cruise. It looked really great in the engine bay, so I asked the owner about it. I was on the fence about which CAI to get, but once he revved it up for me, bam! Instant sale.

So, my MMR Intake just arrived yesterday. Hopefully I can install it tonight.
Any tips from those who have the MMR? Did you remove your front wheel and or move the coolant reservoir to do the install?
