Have any of you installed this hood scoop yourselves just yet? I just received mine and I really like the way it looks from pictures online; however, I'm heavily contemplating on whether or not I should actually wait all the way until next Thursday to have a shop install it for me, which will be approx $150 or so in labor.
According to Late Model Restoration's video, they mention that the template "guarantees" accurate placement. However, I know that some people's interpretation of "easy" could mean a whole different thing to a person who's never done anything like it before. I love assembling things revolving things inside the house, but I've never tried anything for a car
.
So my questions are:
Any tips would be greatly appreciated. It just sucks walking past my hood scoop every day on the floor waiting for installation, and plus doing it myself could save me $150+. Just not sure if it's worth it or if it's something that you just can't mess up unless you don't follow directions.

So my questions are:
- Is this considered easy for a person who's never done anything like it before?
- How much would a hood replacement cost if I actually did screw anything up?
