Warning to S550 owners thinking of adding a Roush Hood Scoop.
After you get up the nerve to drill 10 holes in your brand new hood, you will find that Roush has a problem they don't have a solution for yet. When you pull your car in the garage or under a tree/carport and the scoop cools down it warps. They tried to fix it by adding 3M tape but that's what makes it visually worse, I am on my 3rd scoop and it still does it. The pictures below were taken 2 minutes apart on a 72 degree day.

Wow for that price that should not be happening. Hopefully they make things right.

I just dropped my 15 GT PP at the shop today for a wing install and you guessed it: a Roush Hood scoop. arggggghhhhh!!!!!! Inever thought about the heat factor.... I actually bought my scoop off ebay ( new) but for a great price... now I am wondering if I should call my body guy and delay the install...:headbonk::headbonk::headbonk::headbonk:....

Anything else on this? I have the scoop sitting on a shelf in my garage now waiting for someone to tell me it's safe to drill holes in my hood.

If this one doesn't work out I guess I'll go with the FOOSE one.

We are getting into the heat of summer down south now, it lays down better in the heat, but I also removed all of the. 3M tape so it's not nearly as annoying or embarrassing.
The second person who asked if the scoop was from JC Whitney, because it looked like it was taped on, sent me over the top!!!!

So I guess I'm going to send mine back. Not going to drill holes in my hood for a flawed product. You think Rousch would have addressed this at $500.00 price point.

WOW - this car pops! Love it. I wouldn't even bother adding any visual mods to this beauty.

I've had mine on for a few months now. Parked in the Florida heat at work and left in my garage at home. Luckily I have had any issues at all with mine. Sorry this happened to yours.
