I really like that hood scoop. The only thing keeping me from doing it, is having to drill holes in the hood. I like having the ability to return it to stock if I choose to in the future.

I like that look. It seems lower profile than others I've seen and I like that more or is it just an illusion with the stripes? Also have you seen any issues with gaps appearing when sitting in the direct sunlight as I told that has been a problem on the Roush hood scoop.
No, there's some very small gap near the two rear corners, I may be able to torque it down some, but it isn't much of anything.

Anyway to make the hood scoop functional or no, I'm considering this down the linr
No, in fact I meant to take some pics of the underside of it before installing. It is completely solid, there is a base under it, it is surprisingly heavy and you can really tell the difference when opening the hood.

I wouldn't want the hood scoop on mine, but I'd love the side scoops. This looks nice though, very subtle in black.

So is there a hood out there with a functional hood scoop?
To my knowledge there is nothing available yet, but TRUFIBER is prototyping one now. There's a thread about it here.

I love the look of your hood! I've always thought that a simple hood scoop makes such a visual statement on the Mustangs. If I didn't have an LE I would be looking at a hood scoop and stripes also

That looks great. Nice job on installing the scoop and the stripes.
