Hate when women get all hot and bothered because no one noticed her in her nice shiny sports car.

Jeep folk are an extremely brotherly/sisterly breed. I know, I have driven them for 18 years. ;)
Yes we are. :)

I could be in love - my DD is a Wrangler. ;)

Sadly this country has become a Prius loving, windows up (sheltered) hate filled society.

This is not about getting noticed in your car. Once you are past about 30 you don't care about getting noticed. The rules go:

When you are teenager you are constantly worried about what people think of you.

When you are more mature (varies depending on the person) you wonder what people think of you.

When you hit about 35 you find out that nobody thinks (or ever thought) about you.

In the Mustang community the SN95 people seem to respect the Fox people but they hate anything newer. The S197 people are all by themselves and seem to detest anything else. The S550 people are divided but many come from other Mustang years and still like them but the V6 people hate the EB drivers and the 5.0L people think everyone else is a poser. The 5.0L Manual guys with the PP think everything else is not a Mustang. Oh the drama.

I just drive my car now and could care less about all the drama. This is the best Mustang I have ever owned and the only thing that will make me think I may want something else is a Corvette. Maybe when I retire....and then the REAL drama will begin ...

(We all know that was it. ;))
Just curious how the GT performs with the Auto Transmission after seeing the specifications posted about it (us manual owners are not all that enthralled with the latest Chinese version of the MT-82 Getrag six speed...a T56 XL might be better suited for the GT with performance package):clap2:

I felt the love Saturday morning and felt the hate in the afternoon.

I stopped by 7-11 to get some cash and saw a nice Boss parked in the lot. I got my cash, then got into my car to leave. the Boss owner goes to his car and notices my car, stops, looks at my car for a nice 4-5 sec then gives me a nod.

later I ran into a very old beat up mustang (probably from the 70s) and the guy was VERY excited when he saw me and honked at me a few times then we exchanged waves.

then came the afternoon.

I was on my way back from visiting West Point NY this and ran into a 15 magnetic convertible on the high way a few hundred feet ahead of me. I tried to catch up but every time I was close to him, he would purposely break away and switch lanes in traffic just to avoid having me behind him. I then saw a Boss 302 in my rear mirror and the guy quickly got behind me.

after a while I finally caught up with the convertible so now it was 3 mustangs in a row. of course the convertible guy broke away very quickly again. I slowed down and the 302 guy drove up tnext to me and we exchanged thumbs up.

not sure what the deal was with the convertible guy. it was almost as if he didnt want to be seen with other mustangs so he could feel special.

an hour later I saw another 302 behind me speeding up, I moved to the middle lane, rolled down my window to wave, but the guy didnt acknowledge me at all.

Nailed. :)

But I dislike rudeness (internet trollery a different animal), which was the point of my silly post. It's not about drama, just basic day-to-day, face-to-face courtesy. This just happened to involve the damn car (injected with a little humor ;))

I am trying not to believe what people say about 'today's kids', as every generation has been accused of poor behavior in some way (self-centered, tuned out, rebellious, etc). At least in my personal experience, it's the middle-agers who are more friendly in this particular stang situation.;)
