Hmmm BC Coilovers?!

Is a Protege from 2002. I had to change the top plate where the joint is 2 times already. They do perform really good though. Doesn't mean you guys will have the same problem but is my experience with them....

While I know that your stance (pun intended) is to sell these coils - your input is soooo greatly appreciated.

I sure wish you were closer - it would be nice to go for a ride or allow us the pleasure and opportunity of discussing the finer points of our S550s over a fine glass of highland single malt....

My biggest concern has been the "daily driven" comfort (uhem) so that I don't need a damn kidney belt and dentist on retainer to make office visits to put my filings back in for the 10 mile ride to work.

I am getting ready to purchase these - I have been very uneasy about the transition as far as that city driveability, comfort for the passenger on trips, and wear and tear on parts that Ford might see as a Warranty killer ( I know I know - dont touch if you are afraid and mag moss act and all the religious discussions around warranty and the such - those are discussions for a different thread - no one needs the popcorn and lawn chair here)

I am a research nerd - so I certainly appreciate the great info everyone is putting forth!

After reading many many many forums from other car types in far away lands - evo, subie, and other such cars those owners seem to be very happy with their purchases.

While ride quality and tolerance is purely subjective - there is a general baseline already in the stock suspension.

The S197 kit had the camber plates on the pillow ball mounts. I can't imagine these would be any different.

Yessir, they come with CC plates in the front.

Hard to determine how much on the front since I haven't installed a set but if its like the older models you have plenty of adjustment. For the rears, yeah you would need something. I think the OEM pieces have very limited adjustability.

Cant wait for these, hopefully they also make some of their higher end 2 and 3 way adjustable systems for the hardcore guys.

Swift are easy to get, right now you're going to wait for them as each swift order is custom. Spring rates are left up to the customer but we can work with you on those as well. I would have to check added cost but typically its an additional 320 for them.

Yep, they will feel better in others or worse. I have mine for years, more than 30k miles and plenty of track time in them and always on the hard side ;)

I feel you brother. It's always nerve recking to purchase an aftermarket part and not know 100% how it is going to be. I have had BC in my previous Lexus GS350 and the ride quality was great, like I said the ride quality changes depending on the car. The S550 ride has been great for me, I have not had any problem with my kidneys :lol: My best suggestion is if you decide to go with the BC Coil-overs is to adjust the damping and drive it around a bit and keep adjusting it to you get to the ride you feel is most comfortable.
