Is there a way to turn this feature off? When i went for the test drive, i did not like it at all, so i am wondering if it's something easy to turn off while driving. If not, i may want to learn how to drive stick instead of dealing with it perhaps.

It does that on Sport and Track modes. You should be fine using Normal and Snow/Wet mode.

I don't think it does this in Normal mode, only Sport+, I believe. At least I don't notice it in Normal mode.

Just put the shifter in D not S an it will shift normally
i think i had the shifter in D on the drive, and it felt like it was in the rev matching mode.

Yes it does. Does not rev match in D, but will rev match when in S mode

Is S mode the one where you use the paddle shifters? Is the rev match aggressive like a race car or only a small blip (example, 3K rpm downshift from 3rd to 2nd is more than a small blip)?

I haven't got my car in hand but I am most excited for this feature in the auto, makes tracking a ton funner.

It depends on how you are driving. If you have the shifter in S, or are in Sport+ mode (or both), it will always blip downshifts, even when gently slowing for a stop sign. That's just a little blip. IF you want a BIG blip, force a downshift to 2 at 50 mph, or to 1 at 30 mph. Sounds great!

You won't have Sport+ but you will still have the S position on the transmission, so it will behave the same.

You can use the paddles or not use the paddles. that is your choice. You can put the car in S, and it will shift itself, although it won't go into high gear, and the shiftpoints will be higher. Not ideal for stop and go traffic.

The "blip" is not outrageous.. just a small rev match when the car goes into the lower gear. It sounds pretty neat.

I am interested in hearing some feedback from someone with an auto who goes to a road course, and uses the paddles like a manual. Would be nice to have a video. I am sure the autos can perform just as well on a road course as the manuals.

This might be a dumb question, but does the car shift itself in Sport mode on the automatic? Is that what you're saying? You just get higher shiftpoints? Or are you saying, it will only shift when it realizes you're screwing up and not shifting?

I honestly haven't gotten around to using Sport mode yet.

Until the extra heat load dumped into the coolant (from cooling the AT fluid) causes the ECU to pull timing, maybe.
