The wave of the future for Ford will be it's twin turbo V6. Scot Dixon just won the Tudor 24 Hours of Daytona in a Ford V6 twin turbo Ecoboost/Riley. Ford is using this engine in the new Ford GT [600hp]. I know we will see this engine in the Mustang and it will definitely have no gas guzzler tax. For Ford Racing the idea for using this engine was based on getting better gas mileage than the competition. :clap2:Right now this motor is comparable to the 2013/14 Ferrari California, which is a 4.9 liter FPC that is normally aspirated and has a redline of 9000RPM. That car is subjected to the GG tax.
However, the 2015 model is now a 3.9 Liter twin turbo...with a better EPA and is producing more HP and more torque and is not subjected to the GG tax.
If this is any indication of where Ford can go with this....they can slap a twin turbo on the next release and net higher HP gains and EPA gains to boot. Netting us a more powerful GT350 or GT500 that also is exempt from the GG tax.
Just saying.
