Yeah. Not thrilled with this development. Definitely want recaros AND the nicer radio and nav.

Come on Ford...

how hard is it to remove power/heated/cooled seats? ive never done that before. the more i think about it the more i see myself just getting the tech pack and "roughin it" without recaros

This just makes me even more upset about not being available in Europe! At that price ALL the germans would be clenching butt cheeks!

towards the bottom of the post there a few pictures.

4 bolts and a male/female electrical connector. Takes a whole 5 minutes to remove them (assuming its the same as a 11 GT500)

I am in the same boat as many here. Wanted a GT350 with track pack but have the full screen with nav and sync 3, but that went out the door quickly. I thought about going tech pack myself, but I still want the Recaros, additional cooling, strut tower brace and extra chassis tuning, and raised decklid wing. I am sure Ford Racing will have an aftermarket set available sometime next year, but I'd rather have them say GT350 rather than the Ford Racing logo (as I did with my 11 GT500) Plus I am sure from FRPP they will be at least 3 grand.

Luckily the R is within my range so I'll be getting the R w/ electronics

And I got flamed a while back for saying Ford would keep it under 50k. Priced in the line up just above a loaded gt. I love being proven right.
Nice. At these prices it will be hard for anyone to complain about available options and combinations. :headbang:

You underestimate some people! It will happen... The base price was a shocker and is nice, but people will complain about the packages (what they contain and their prices).

Spreadsheet pricing

IF there would be NO ADM...then this would be doable. Georgia has a 7% tax fee this year at purchase which does away with the "birthday" ad valorum tax each year at tag renewal time. That "document fee" some charge less and some charge more....ridiculous. What do they do for that fee?

darn...the spreadsheet disappeared when I posted. that didn't work.

Any idea if satellite radio can be added to the base radio as a dealer installed option?
This is my main complaint with the way they've built the packages. Adding the sat radio is pretty simple and a must have for ME. I'll probably end up with an aftermarket radio since I don't want the Tech Pack.

Yes, the dealer can put one in, but it won't be cheap. I was about to buy a 2014 with a V6 and the dealer told me the cost would be $600-800 for a Sirius radio. It's not a matter of just activating a Sirius account, because there is no Sirius tuner factory installed. So you need everything, tuner, antenna, wiring harness, etc.

For what the dealer charges, you can go and buy a high-end aftermarket radio for half the price. The trick is to get them to work with your steering wheel controls. Essentially if you want satellite radio in a Mustang, it will cost you $5500. I say that is jest because satellite radio is only available starting with an Ecoboost premium MSRP $29,300 vs the base Mustang at $23,800. Why Ford does not make satellite radio standard across all vehicles baffles me. Almost every manufacturer today is doing it even on their entry level vehicles. As a retired Ford Engineer who worked as a Cost Estimator for a few years with Ford, it is actually cheaper to make one radio standard from a piece price standpoint and a manufacturing standpoint. Fewer options on the assembly line reduces manufacturing complexity and cost.

Ford boasts that Mustang is such a high-tech vehicle, but no standard satellite radio? In today's world that's like have a flip phone without wifi or texting.

The Doc fee could be waved if the dealer wanted. That's completely on them and not a required fee.
