I just heard some interesting news from a dealer in regards to ordering a GT350 or a GT350R He said " Ford is expecting less than 1 out of every 5 GT350's ordered to be a "R", because of pricing and taste (i.e no back seat, more track tuned suspension etc.) So when the ordering opens up, you either order a GT350 or an "R" He believes it will be like the Laguna Sec. Boss. He said when people ordered the Boss they could of order either one, there were no restrictions. Does anyone know what it was like when ordering a LS BOSS? is this true. If this is true ...Im getting a "R" no matter what, I do not need a back seat and I do not car if the ride is ruff-er..lol Im getting one ( unless its MSRP is 25K over a GT350)

The GT350 R has a backseat.
Not sure what you mean, are you saying this is a question form? or do you think the "R" has a back seat? if the later was meant, this would be wrong as the "R" has NO back seat, it has been deleted for weight savings.

He might mean that it can be added back as an option... there is space for one brackets etc... it just isn't there on the R model. However Donson you are correct in that it does not come with a backseat or seatbelts from the factory on the GT350R

My bad, I guess I was thinking about the fact that it doesn't have a crossbrace.

I thought I read somewhere that launch control would be a feature on the "R".

Am I correct, or maybe I am getting cars confused?

I would think that would be a wildly popular feature to have.

Let's all remember, you have to be licensed to purchase the R model.
And you have to be breathing too....what is you point? Are you saying you have to have a "race car licences" to buy an "R" model?:headbonk:
