Redline has a great forum following and has a great warranty on their products. When I get my GT I'm going with them.

I would recommend Redline. I installed them on my GT-it was very easy and they function great!

Redline supplies the kits for the Ford hood strut kits

yes it does open a few inched higher with the struts vs. OEM hood prop

I have the Redline elite kit on my 2015 EB
worth every penny:headbang:

I have Steeda's installed on mine and love em. The Ford Racing ones do look good too though.

I can't help but wonder, but with hood struts, is there any danger of bending the hood when closing --- at the point where the strut attaches to the hood. It is aluminum and flexes.

I want to put these on mine. I let the dealership do my all my service. If an oil change tech reaches up and pulls hard on the hood to close it, can it bend my hood?

Steeda and MRT have larger brackets that can help with the hood flex, just let the techs know you have hood struts installed. I havent had any issues with my Steedas.

I have a set of the MRT struts laying on the floor about 4 feet from me that I de-installed. I'm certainly not blaming MRT but with them installed, the hood was raised up about 3/16". After removing them, it is lower but still not aligned correctly (thanks Ford). I was actually considering getting a set of the Redlines/Ford Performance to see if maybe they were better. I really hate the prop rod and was just positive after all Ford did to update the 2015 that rod would be gone.

What struts don't require drilling/modification? I know the Ford ones do.
