Hello mustang6g!

I am proud to offer the forums new 2015+ Mustang Ford Performance Licensed Hood Strut Kit.

I know for many Mustang owners, a hood strut kit is one of the first modifications. If you want the hood up at a car show or up so you can work inside the engine bay, the last thing you want is that ancient hood prop in the way.

With this licensed Ford Performance hood strut kit for your 2015+ Mustang, it will allow you to secure your hood safely, eliminate the prop rod, and keep the look nice and clean with the laser etched Ford Performance logo.

Simply start to lift your hood and let the struts do all the work. Your hood will lift and hold firmly at the raised position, without the worry of your hood falling down. These gas struts are rated at 55 LBS to hold up your OEM hoods without damage to the hood itself.

The two gas struts come with all hardware and brackets.

For installation, trimming of the battery cover and drilling of one hole is required.

Pricing is $99.99 shipped via Fedex insured with tracking!

These are available now, give me a call @ 949-900-1961, email [email protected] or through see our website:

Any questions please let me know.

What makes these any different from the redline tuning hood struts other than branding?

Of course these would come out after I purchased the Redline QuickLIFT ELITE Hood Struts! The install guide did not indicate how many pounds they will "Lift", but since it hasn't fallen on my head, I would imagine it's enough. Does anyone know who actually makes these struts? If it's Redline, I'm sure my exiting ones will be ok. If these are better, I may purchase a set.

My guess is they licensed the model from Redline by the looks of it. So nothing. On the other hand you get to keep in the Ford brand if you're into that sort of thing.

are these going to fit as they are with RHD Mustangs?
ie is there going to be any changes to the position of the battery or anything else for the RHD models?

Not really any different, these are just licensed through Ford since they have the logo on them.

The actual strut is made in house in southern CA.

These look great and at a nice price point.
Thanks!:)

Right, these are licensed by Ford hence the logo laser etched onto them.

I believe they should fit the RHD models, I dont see why not. You are more than welcome to email me photos of your hood hinges and fender areas and I can verify for you.

we can't even find out when the ordered vehicles are even due here but hopefully the pre-production ones that are expected in the next month or so may supply the answers .

Thanks Nick

I can't help but wonder, but with hood struts, is there any danger of bending the hood when closing --- at the point where the strut attaches to the hood. It is aluminum and flexes.

I want to put these on mine. I let the dealership do my all my service. If an oil change tech reaches up and pulls hard on the hood to close it, can it bend my hood?

There is certainly some flex at that point on the hood. Not sure if it would bend and actually cause damage. If they just reached up and pulled it really hard and fast, I could see something bad happening or maybe the flex is enough give where it wont:confused:

There is a little bit of flex, but that is expected with aluminum. If it was more rigid, then a hard yank might do some damage. The key is you want to let the struts do the work.

This is long over due, I went to Hillbank to have an exhaust installed and Nick helped me out with everything. He showed me these hood struts and being that I've never even popped my hood I was disappointed that the car came with the stick prop from the factory. So I opted to have them install the struts for me and MAN are they 10x's better. I uploaded a few pics for you guys to see!
