Being AWD, the Audi will fare better in the winter than the RWD Mustang. The Mustang could then stay inside and remain unsalted when it snows. Also, since the premium pack is a $4,000 upgrade they might offer you less than that on your trade since it's almost 13 years old.. look at it as a free car!
Yeah, that's exactly why I was thinking of keeping the car. I'm sure I'd have no issues driving around in the snow if I were to get a winter set of tires and rims, but I went ahead and figured out the costs, and it would be about 3 grand. And my car now is worth like 4. So why trade in my car, then have to spend almost as much to make my new one better for winter? I need to make time to go test drive the different trims. I did hear some complaints about the materials being cheap in the base, and some of the panels rattling around. I don't want that for sure.

I've gone through my budgeting, and I can afford a GT premium if I just cut away about 70% of my fun money every month. I have never driven a RWD car before, and the highest HP car I have owned is an AWD a4 with 170 hp. Will I miss the small extra fun factor of the 5.0 if I were to get an EB premium? Fastest thing I have ever been in was a 2010 camaro SS. Or should I still get the GT?(less fun money is probably a good thing haha)

I don't really plan on modding the car much for the warranty period, and after that I probably won't do it either if I am honest. I've had the A4 for 3 years now, and when I bought it I made all these plans to mod stuff, and I never did lol.
Buy the ECOboost now and then in a few years when you want more power you will have a little more money. Then you can step up to the GT.

If you go for the GT right away it will just be that much sooner that 435 HP doesn't seem like enough. I'm a bit bored with my GT right now, which means I want to spend MORE money.

Wait, the EB auto can come with the PP? Why can't the GTPP be had with an auto? I still think a GT with no PP might be more fun than the EBPP.
Yes, an auto EB w/PP. The LE-GT offers auto w/PP as well. That's your options if you want auto and PP.

I'm not going to entertain if a GT w/o PP is more fun than EBPP - unless you want to bring out the popcorn...you will have to see/test drive for yourself.

I like that thought process, but at the same time, wouldn't it be cheaper in the long run to get the gt now, and then 5 years down the line pay the 8500(people listed this price for dealer installed) and throw on the ford/roush stage one supercharger for 627 hp? Even if I sell the EB in say 3 years time, it's still losing it's value, and I'd be upgrading to a car that costs more, that will also lose it's value. Where if I throw on a supercharger, the value would probably stay steady compared to two cars losing value I would imagine. I think 435 hp will be plenty, maybe I will get a ford racing tune to keep the warranty, but in the end, I think a GT would be better if I wanted to go down the rabbit hole of more HP. My one concern is what will happen to the v8 when cafe takes effect.

I will just have to try it out I guess! But that actually does make the EB more desirable to me.

If you want to do what's cheaper, buy a 2011 GT. Drive that for 5 years and then put a blower on that car. The SRA will handle more power than the tiny little CV joints Ford put in the 2015.

IMO grab a GT PP over the ecoboost to save a few bucks but if you aren't willing to lose the premium than the ecoboost is your choice. Personally I love the v8 and I think muscle cars should have them because oh the history and the sound. You'll never get that sound or the same feeling from the EB that you will from a N/A v8. Also if you never mod it the GT will most likely last longer than the EB and will be cheaper to fix. If anything goes wrong with that turbo out of warranty you are gonna have a bad day.

My recommended setup is a GT Premium, PP, Premier trim and Color accent package, all weather mats, and enhanced security pack. That ends up being all the best bang for your buck packages that ford offers. X-plan price with all that is *only* 38k, equally equipped EB is 31k. It's 34k for as close as you can get to each of those for a non premium GT.

What is this x-plan you speak of? I'm new to the whole buying brand new cars thing. And my ideal is a GT auto with the premier trim, security, and the blind spot detection.

Sadly it is not what I want to do. I want to buy a new car, and then down the road modify it if I feel I need more power. I don't want to buy another used car right now.

I came from about the same HP... was surprised when I floored my "4 cyl" mustang while on the ramp to get into traffic... phone flew to back seat, car surged forward... it was scary.... then I laughed like a child.

Getting past a truck on the hwy the other night, figured I was doing 70 and no turbo (reading the forums). Well, car jumped and I flew past him.... I was hitting amazing speeds, really quickly. That was a bit scary as well.

Eco is a LOT of fun... with that said, get what you want... and that is the V8. I wanted the eco... you want the v8. Don't torture yourself by settling on an eco... save for the v8.

Far as videos, you will not play much since you have this car.... trust me.... so much more fun to "play" in life vs. sitting behind some tv.

this way you can test to see if you really can put your fun money into a car and see if you like life that way. If you do you can pay off the EB4 quick and trade in for GT later.

Scary sounds fun. The main difference on the V8 to EB for me, will be the sound and just the feeling of finally owning a v8 powered mustang. My ideal car would be a 1967-1969 fastback I could restore myself, but lacking the time and space, a new GT is my best bet.

There's something about the vibration, the sound of a V8 that can't be replicated by less cylinders, no matter how much power you make. Take the new M3/4 for example. Many comment on the lack of "emotion" from the powerplant and attribute it to losing a couple of cylinders.

With that kind of Mentality thinking, Ford would have asked for a handout from the government to prevent going bankrupt, just like GM. They bought in the ecoboost to expand their market, specially overseas. I'm predicting the ecoboost will sell more than the GT by next year or the following year.
im not talking about ford. im talking about an individual and what they buy..

again

v8 or bicycle

I have actually been planning on buying a bike to make runs to the gas station for my midnight monsters and what have you. Great idea. Thanks.
