Those vents look like the size of softballs...Holy shit, that is huge. I don't like the location of them either.

Thoughts?

2016 Camaro SS not worried about the 5 yes 5 other power trains they have.

455 hp and 455 torque in a 3700 pound car....200 pd diet from past gen

I hate to say it but I might be jumping ship.

In addition to that the interior is amazing and the exterior isn't bad. The rear looks 2015
mustang GTish.

If you noticed, Chevy is being very careful and precise with their wording about the weight and they haven't released the #s. I guarantee you the weight savings is on the 4 cylinder and that the V8/SS clocks in above the '15 Mustang GT.

The interior is just a tad too busy for me...it looks like they over designed it. They also took Audi's A3/S3 air vent designs and then it looks like took an '15 Mustang pre-design interior and modified it.

The exterior looks like a confused design. There are too many angles and lines running all over that gives it a very busy look, especially the back. The front and rear definitely look like a Camry.

Rear is ugly, but that's nothing new to me. Front is OK, no better than previous IMO. I like the side profile. I also like the fact they shrunk every dimension (height, length, width and wheelbase), I hope Ford does something similar with the next gen Mustang.
im pretty sure the '15 shrunk in height, length, width but they widened the wheel base.

Not impressed at all! The interior, looks just like the last model. Some of the buttons seem really small and the vents are all over the place. The exterior appears to be a refreshing of the old one. At least the S550 has style. The Camaro looks long in the back, which to me is odd. The only hope left, will be in the performance department. Regardless of the I4's numbers, once Ford Racing releases the reflash they will have to play catch up against the EB. The only thing I'm interested in now is the price. Definitely glad I bought the EB!

You do realize that that claimed weight loss is more than likely for the 4 cylinder. I bet the SS weighs more than the GT. Looks are subjective but I think that we can agree that the rear end doesn't belong. The interior is an improvement but not better than the Mustang's. The only thing the Camaro has going for it is that LT1.
Except LT1 come with engine problems too, LT1 are not reliable engines.

It will be interesting to see a good instrumented test of the new Camaro (looking at you, C&D). If Chevy claim under 6 seconds, I'm sure C&D could get it down to EB levels.

The Camaro will also be coming to Europe early 2016. Maybe this will FINALLY send a wake-up-call to Ford.

By that I mean, actually give us the model years in due time! As we get our 2015s delivered, people in the USA would've already driven, modded and reviewed the 2016s.

So if the 2016s are in production does that mean limited 2015 stock for Europe and RHD markets? When I go to place my order in February '16 will I be told "Too bad, no more left! Wait until the 2016 just as the USA get's their 2017s" ?

Sorry to go off on a tangent but I detest how Ford are handling their European launch. Meanwhile GM is throwing them at us around 2 months after their US launch in October/November. Unbelievable. :tsk:
GM doesnt have convertible ready for US launch how in world make you think there would be a RHD ?

You already know 6g camaro wont be taking UK order until mid 2016, thats just show you how far GM behind Ford.

At least the Chevy guys made the four the base engine. Ford cheaped out and made their four and V6 Mustangs too close to each other in performance and fuel economy. Then on top of that, they are charging a price premium for the four.

With the 2016 Mustang offering only cosmetic changes (and most of them stupid stuff), Ford has essentially pulled over to the curb for a smoke break, allowing Chevy to close the gap on them.

As for the Camaro itself, it's an improvement over the previous generation. Appears to offer better visibility out the front than the ridiculous slits the 5th gen has. The rear is clean looking, but boring. Side view is...meh. Don't like the way the designers handled the rear quarter glass area. They just scream, "Blind spot!"

The interior seems to be greatly improved, but that's not saying much. The 5th gen was horrible inside. But those interior door panels! What planet are those from? I do like the instrument pod. Huge improvement over Gen 5.

We will just have to wait and see if the new Camaro really is 200 pounds lighter. Ford's similar claim turned out to be a bit of a stretch.

FoMoCo is really going to have to step things up for the 2017 Mustang and offer up some real engineering advancements. Turn signals in the hood is their way of saying, "We're just going to rest on our laurels for a model year and allow Camaro to catch up.

- JP
I don't understand why everyone is bashing Ford for just "cosmetic changes" in their SECOND year of production. That is how every car manufacturer does their early stuff as to not piss off the first year buyers who took a chance. And the one time Ford did do a big performance swap 1 year in (10-11) they are still being called out for screwing over their customers. Some people are never happy. 17 or 18 we will see a performance improvement but let's see what this 16 camaro can actually do fIrst. I for one wouldn't buy a car with that LT1 if my life depended on it. Can't even handle a lighter car I would hate to see how it handles this boat.

What is with the AC vents being right where the shifter is? Whose bright idea was that to put the vents down there, away from the occupants?
