Camaro Watch: Revealed Early

The Camaro forum has a "Mustang Watch" thread, why don't we have a Camaro watch? ;)

So Ford is on the verge of releasing the CS and rolling out the '16MY. Well, CNBC just revealed the new Camaro early in a very quick "coming up" segment on their morning show. Chevy wanted the big reveal tomorrow. I don't think they'll be too happy about that.

I think its a fine looking machine. Terrible over saturated photo, but what you can see looks like a good challenge for the curvy lines of the S550 mustang.

That God awful hood is perfectly in line with the camo cars that have been running around so this looks legitimate. hopefully there is something incredible under that hood or ford won't have as big of a push to make our cars any better anytime soon!

I think this is more an under-the-skin deal. The 5th gen is, what, 5 years old now? By this point we'd be getting mid cycle refreshes, not a new model generation. So I take the Gen5 styling with a pinch of salt.

Corvette Engine and it weighs less than a Mustang. Throw in the ATS underpinnings and Ford should be worried.

The Mustang wins on styling by far. But mechanically I think we may get a surprise.

Edit: And yes, that hood shut-line confuses me. It would look 100% better at the front if it was a clamshell.
