The OEM Brembo pads are anything but cheap.
Exactly!

High performance brakes and associated pads are going to dust. You would need a ceramic type pad to reduce the dusting but you lose some stopping power as well.

Here is an email from Bruce at FullTilt Boogie Racing addressing pads, brake dust and performance.

Hello Todd:

You're asking for something that doesn't exist. ;o) It would be nice, but unfortunately everything is a trade off when it comes to brakes.

If you want significantly less dusting than the OEM pads you'll have to look at something like a Hawk ceramic. They will dust less but that will come at the cost of initial bite and stopping power. We do not have them listed on our site but we can get them as well. Just let us know.

The Hawk HPS will dust just slightly less and stop just slightly better than the OEM pad.

The Ferodo pad will have better initial bite and better stopping power than the OEM pad but they will dust significantly more.

One other thing to note is the fact that these replacement pads are not quite as long as the OEM pads and will ride on the rotor about 5mm shy on the bottom of the pad as compared to where the OEM pads ran which really is no big deal.

Let us know if you have any additional questions.

I am on a waiting list for the Hawk HPS pads, I was told Hawk was still a few weeks away from releasing it. I doubt these factory pads will last long after I put at a track weekend on them.

Buy a foam bottle brush from the grocery store. Makes the cleaning job way easier.

I actually picked one up last week to see if it would work! Hopefully, get to test it out with an off the shelf (non-acidic) wheel cleaner in a day or so. Anyone successful in getting them back to black, then waxing with a spray wax to see if it helps with the dust build up?

I waxed with CG wheel guard. Helps with removal but it builds up nonetheless.

Where can one get a wheel brush like that? Also, is it safe for all surfaces?
