Well, i have new wheels coming in very soon. So, that part will be going away in the near future. However, i do not like the idea of HAVING to clean wheels on a weekly basis, but i guess i have to in order to keep them blingin.
The original justification given for why 2015 PP wheels were black-only was that the Brembos gave so much brake dust and black hides it better.Title basically says it all. I get tons of brake dust from these Brembos. (and the PP wheels SUCK to clean) My previous car that had them was not nearly as bad. Is it just the way i drive, or are other people experiencing the same thing?
Stock up on cleaning supplies now, bro. The Bronze Burst loses the "burst" part after about 75-100 miles depending on how you drive. I generally clean once a week with the rest of the car - about 200 miles of driving if I take the Mustang to work everyday.
Not sure how I feel about that. The fronts end up looking brown while the rears are still black lol. That's when they're dirty, of course.
Lol. Man, don't go telling me that! I recently purchased some of the Chem Guys Series Wheel Cleaner the other day, so I guess I'll have to just keeping a bottle of that with me at all times as well as a terry cloth.
Yeah I have the CG wheel guard on them as well. Wipes off pretty easy and it's really only the fronts that have the dust issue. The rears will look good for much longer.
