I thought the SA rating was good for 10 years in SCCA which means the SA2015 rated helmet should be good until 2025. I could be wrong on that but that is how I remember it being.
Regardless get the lightest most comfortable helmet you can afford. There is not a big difference in the weights...
I think the car you are speaking of was sold for over 34k just recently and you forgot some parts like the brake ducts, long tube headers, CAI, tune for 93 or e85, and the cool looking color changing temp gauges that monitor oil and trans temps which also had oil coolers installed. I guess they...
Well if I could get my street car that I drive to the track and not trailer like a race car to within a second of a race car then I'd be pretty happy with that result! Especially since I probably would achieve that with half the investment of fancy million dollar Penske/MCS/OHLIN shocks and...
I run a 305/30/20 in the rear and a 275/35/20 in the front with steeda progressives no spacer and have no problems. I would recommend the 30s as well. I have seen a Steeda 18 running on 305/30/20 square setup I think it is their house car.
I was talking to one of the Steeda employees at the track yesterday and they said they were bolting an 18 intake on one of their track cars for testing this coming week. I'm curious also to know how it performs.
I've driven one spiritidly around my neighborhood streets. Regardless of longevity, I think it would take a day just to figure out what gears to use in each corner. So many choices now, LOL
Not in necessarily any kind of order, but...
A. Options you will find way more not only tire brand choices but also sizes available in an 18" option vs a 19" option.
B. Cost generally speaking a 18" tire will cost less than a 19" option.
C. Not much but it all adds up, weight.
D...
From what I've seen the 18" setup is the best as long as you can clear the front brakes. As for square setup or staggered if you are NA with just bolt ons then in my opinion a square setup will be fine.
I have the OE PP struts and shocks with the progressives and absolutely love the way it feels both when pushing it to the limits on the on-ramps and normal driving situations. Looking at your picture comparing it to mine looks like your car may sit a little lower with the coil overs.
$300 to do my roof including antenna. At first the antenna looked fine but now after 3 years the edges on the bottom of the antenna are starting to shrink. But, I'm still happy can't complain if it took 3 years to show signs of wear.
If it is in your budget look at Wilwood's 6-piston 14" front brake kit for the S550. I have seen them on a few track cars with 18" wheels and they look like they are working real well.
My buddy took this photo back in January at the SCCA Majors event. Looks like Steeda uses the NT01 as a rain tire for their race car. I believe they won this event.
TJ,
Is their options with the color of stitching on the floor mats? I could use some with blue instead of red. Here's a pic of my car sitting on Progressive Sports. I love the stance and ride quality!
