Steeda Mustang Shifter Base Bushing Bracket Kit*

Anyone on here installed the Steeda Shifter Base Bushing Bracket Kit? I'm curious how this mount works in conjunction with the Steeda transmission bushing insert.

Still looking to hear what the Steeda Shifter Base Bushing Bracket improvements are like. Even if someone only has the shifter bracket without the transmission bushing insert. I'm trying to gage if it helps alot.

I installed both earlier this week.... Not a big PITA to install, but definitely required some choice words to get the shifter bushing in place without dropping the middle section of exhaust. The shifter bushing made a big difference in the feel and rigidity of the stock shifter. Definitely more communicative and firm, which is exactly what it needed in my opinion. The transmission mount bushing was a cinch to install and actually made more significant of a change than I was anticipating. Yes there is an increase in NVH as you are pretty much turning the stock rubber into a solid poly mount. Maybe it's just me but I think the car feels much better since the install. Shifts are much more precise and can be made with confidence when driving more aggressively, and the NVH is nothing to get bent out of shape about. If anything it allows the driver to feel what is going on with the drivetrain better. I even think it helped smooth out shifts/clutch engagement.

Would recommend both for anyone looking for a more communicative feel from the shifter and transmission.

Not sure what you are referring to.... The notchy shifter is more than likely just the internal movement of parts in the transmission. A fluid change may improve it if that is in fact what you are talking about. The bushing will probably only amplify anything your are feeling through the shifter. Let me clarify by saying that the shifter bushing reduces the amount of "slop" or play in the shifter by using a stiffer poly-eurothane bushing as opposed to the flimsy stock rubber bushing.

In my mazdaspeed3 I had the shifts wear smooth no notch with the stock shifter and the TWM short through.

I drove the car last night and this morning after I put it on and it almost eliminated it. I was pleasantly surprised. It also firmed up the shifter feel. Definitely worth it, it's just a shame you can't see the pretty hunk of aluminum
I have a Whitelint trans insert from my 12 sitting at home. I installed it and used it for about a week. Even with the center section cut off it added way too much NVH for me. My whole car shook. I might test it on my 15 since it's so easy to put on. My trans shifts great though so I really don't need it.

Thanks for a great product. The bracket is a must do. Hardly any thud when I drove home from work again today. It definitely made a difference you can feel.....

I'm thinking about purchasing the shifter mount. I just spent to much on mods this. New MMD Zeven wheels, tinting windows, and clear bra tomorrow. I need to hold out for the Steeda lowering progressive spring release.

I did install a Speed Dawg shift knob and since it's not weighted like the OEM one is it fixed alot of the shifter issues. I still think the shifter mount will help.

Would it be easier to do this while I'm swapping my exhaust? While the stock exhaust is off the car?
