Just a quick question.

Does anybody know how many GTs come with the Performance Package compared to non performance package out there?

To expand on that what about how many premium GTs to base exist?

Just curious.....I was constantly seeing premium performance packs then all I saw was premium non performance pack mustang GTs.

These are not limited production options so it's kinda hard to get numbers based on options. It's like trying to find out how many people have ordered an apple pie to go with their extra value meal.

I would imagine that most manual GT's have the Performance Pack. I'd guess that 70% or so of GT's are automatic.

All PP GT's have manual, then there's the non PP manuals, aaaaaaaaaand then there's the GT autos.

Technically, that's not true. Some percentage does. I don't know how many verts where made to calculate it, and the %age is steadily dropping, but the one of one 50th anniversary vert has performance pack. So it only like .00005% and getting smaller every day but it's not 0. [emoji16]

You realize 87% of percentages on the internet are made up.

Don't forget the LE's. They can be auto and have the PP as well.

I would have a manual if they would let me get my vert with the performance pack, but I was told no go. So I got the automatic.

um that is 70-80% of all GT's sold.

when i went to look at camaros in 2011, they had 84 on the lot, 25~ were SS. 2 were manuals, 1 ss and 1 v6.

It'll be interesting to see how production numbers break down once it's all said and done for the model year.

I'm betting my manual Magnetic GT/PP with Redline interior will be a relatively rare bird.

Try a daily commute with an average vehicle speed <30 mph and you'll understand why many people get an auto. When I had my 2011 manual GT, driving to work in stop and go with a 30 MPH speed limit means you typically get up to 3k rpms in first and then hit the clutch again to slow down for the next stop light. Doing this 5 days a week for one enjoyable Saturday afternoon drive wasn't worth it to me.

This will probably sound silly, but when looking at new homes I purposely looked to get away from this area of town so I could get back into a manual. Maybe in time for the next refresh?

Yes. Yes, I did. At least half my time in the car I'm at idle, and even when I'm moving I spend the vast majority of my time going less than 20 mph (25 is the speed limit in NYC, so even if there's no traffic I'm not seeing 30 mph). I can count on one hand the number of times I've had the engine over 3000 rpm in 2,700 miles. So yeah, a lot of people buy GTs that are auto.
