Off topic/ on topic. About a decade ago I'm riding with my dad in his SL500, which was only a couple years old at the time, and he unleashed a demon. My first thought was how could he, in clear conscience, do that to his car and passenger.

You will eventually lose the new car smell. Just don't replace it with "that" smell.

Nothing like the smell of formaldehyde in the morning.:doh: Get scrap pieces of carpeting I guess. New car smell and many perfumes make me choke and cough, so when I get my car, I would be more than happy to bottle it up and give it away.:eyebulge:

Maintain the leather and the smell will for sure stick around, my mothers Lexus is a few years old now and when you open the door you can still get a whiff of that new leather smell. Car is garaged and well maintained with leather conditioner.

Leather conditioner will definitely make a huge difference. Even more so when keeping it looking new.

The "new car" smell is actually from chemicals, adhesives and plastics from the car as they set in...so it's not really good for you to be sniffing it haha.
Chemical guys makes good car scent, I like their new car scent, leather scent and stripper scent.
