Just curious, how many miles has your new car smell lasted? I'm at 2200 miles now and it's fading. I really only get a good whiff of it every few days when I think it's gone.

Yep, I've noticed that as well. I've got a little over 5000 miles on it over the past year, and if I go a few days without driving it, I really notice the smell when I get in.

Same. Mine has 9000 miles bought in August last year and after sitting M-F when I get in it on the weekend I’ll still smell it.

Mine is still there, just hit 8k miles after 14 months of ownership. It sits in an air conditioned garage and only get driven once a week. I guess that's helping out a lot lol

I think it helps if you have leather. Seems to hold more of the scent longer.

Usually the smell is offgassing of the plastics, adhesives, textiles and so forth. It's interesting - the Chinese market strongly dislikes the smell, so the OEMs have had to find ways to reduce/eliminate the "new car smell" for exported cars.
