Not sure about the collectors item, but I do plan on filing a diminished value claim. I was awarded one after the first accident.
Of course those are a diminishing return. Each time you would just get the difference between value before and after. The before value for each accident is substantially lower than a pristine car due to the previous accidents.

I'm in the same boat as you, OP. My car just got finished after being in the body shop for over a month repairing damage from getting t-boned. I was side swiped in a parking lot in February/March of last year too. I'm going after the at fault's insurance company for diminished value, but I'm still worried it will never be quite right. I'm 90% sure I'll be in a new/different car in a few months.

That's exactly it..
Bingo. Personally as a perfectionist I would punt it without a second thought. Once a car has had any sort of paint or bodywork done it's tainted and must go in my book. I'm a bit unorthodox in this but that's what I would do.

My last car was hit 7 times in the first couple years, nothing major, average repair was around $1500. My body shop owner commented "you don't need me, you need a priest ."
My Porsche was hit hard and repaired at some point before I got it (before carfax, so no details) but the repairs were done right so I had no problem with it. A few years later it was totaled when a truck backed over the front end. No structural damage, but enough cosmetic and mechanical damage to total a 15 year old car. I bought it back from the insurance company and fixed it. That's when I went from "minor mods that can be reversed" to "anything goes." It's not like I'm cutting up a pristine vehicle, and with 17,000 produced, it's not going to be very collectable.

I dont care how many times its been repaired. I care if they did the repairs right.

If its fixed right, keep on truckin’.

Also, find a great body shop in town. Unfortunately I was on first name basis with a body shop who I saw me about once a year for a good stretch there. They never gave me a reason to question the trustworthyness of the car after. Find a shop like that.
