I'm going to start pestering my local Ford Store for information on when deliveries for the new Mustang will start. The car I currently drive, a Kia Pro_Cee'd GT hot hatchback, has had some minor niggles over the year I've had it.

Just tiny faults that can be easily fixed, but the problem is not my car, but with the dealership I bought it from. The dealership just keeps on recharging the battery and sending me home without even looking into why the battery is constantly being drained. This morning I got in my car and the battery has, once again, discharged. The dashboard does a disco light-show and the Solenoid sounds like its about to strangle itself. Its embarrassing to have to call your parents to come take you to work, leaving one of them in the house to wait for the dealership's recovery vehicle! :(

I don't blame Kia or the car itself for these little niggles. Its actually a simple fix (extra water proofing around the door handle electrics, believe it or not, according to a main dealer technician on the owner's forums) and an extremely reliable car overall - but wow, check to make sure your local franchised dealership is actually good before buying a car from them! Even when I tell them a main dealer technician has told me the problem, they don't do anything about it and just charge the battery again and give me the same schlock over and over about not leaving the keyless entry fob near the car.

I was going to wait until my car was paid off and grab a 'Stang Spring 2016, but the dealership being incompetent means I'll probably be one of the first in the door for a new Pony. Sell my Kia privately to pay off the last of the bank loan, take the first black Mustang I can get my hands on and voila. As much as I adore my Kia, I don't want to deal with that dealership any longer.

This was just a rant to get it off my chest. I'm in the office so I don't exactly have my punching bag to exact my revenge on right now. :D

First deliveries into the UK are confirmed for Q4 this year, but there's a limited number on that batch, and it's primarily for UCL winners and those who had a deposit down last year.

I put my deposit down in ear,y January & got into that batch, but I don't know if there is any availability left now. If not, it'll be 2016, but I don't know when....

Performance Pack is standard on the Euro spec cars (because Autobahn). There is a Custom Pack that adds a Luster Nickel version of the GT PP wheels.

That is nice... wish that as the case lol I had to pay 2500$ for those rims
As Lord Thunder stated, the Performance Pack comes as standard on European spec cars. The Premium Pack I think comes as standard, too. There are a few minor differences though. We don't get 3.7 ratio gears with a Torsen diff, instead we get 3.55 with a smoother running diff (the type escapes me right now). The dials in place of the central vent are also missing I think, as are the hood vents. Other than that its all Performance Pack down the Calipers in use.

Damn. So the big 1500~1700 car batch is a 2016 jobby, then? Well here's hoping that I wont have to deal with my Kia dealership much over the coming year if that is the case. Fingers crossed they actually solve the problem that trickles the battery dry this time.

I'm actually in a worse mood than I was when I wrote this thread. A mechanic (the good one) collected my car personally and drove it back to the dealership after a jump-start. No courtesy car and I wont get my car back until Thursday at the earliest. It looks like I'll be bumming rides from my parents over the next week. I've got a meeting on Wednesday, too - I'll probables go home and find that my computer has broken down or something, given how much has went wrong this month already!

Torsen is a pain in the ass anyway it is good for racing and i love the 3.73 but in all honesty 3.55 has better shift points and is smoother... I can only hit 59 in second gear so my 0-60 times suck as opposed to the 3.55 that hits 62 i believe in second.3.55 hits 0-60 in 4.3-4.5 mine goes anywhere from 4.8-5.3. Did they ever figure out what taillights you are getting? i've seen white and clear rumors

Completely clear lights. Outer most lamps on either side flash amber. Break lights are the two inner most lights. The full Euro-spec car was revealed in Paris.

From what I can see you wont see pictures until Spring 2016! Hope it'll be worth the wait :p

I think the first Euro pictures will be coming from Germany. Their delivery indications have been the earliest so far. Mine (in NL) is that it will be built in May, delivery in (late) August.

Guys to save asking the same questions in a new thread, please see the 2 sections I linked to earlier, which will have your answer to tail lights, gauges, hood vents etc etc :)

To the OP I hope you get your KIA sorted, sounds like you have something on the car staying live and draining your battery. If you have nothing plugged in to the lighter point then get them to test your alarm and also your alternator as you may find its not charging the battery correctly.

Oh it charges the battery fine, but something trickles power away when its off. According to a main dealer technician, its water ingress in the door handle electrics.

New ceed's with keyless entry suffer with water ingression into the door handles electrics which causes a battery drain. Im sure your kia dealership is aware of this and this should have been checked when you were last in with a battery drain. Might be worth asking if they have checked this.
They, in-fact, did not know about it and I told them to check it ASAP. Apparently its on the ramp now and they'll tell me tomorrow what they've found. Dealing with them appears to be going more smoothly than before. I guess its because I've got the head tech looking at it and not one of his yobo underlings (who took my car out for a very long joy-ride last time! I came back with a quarter tank of fuel missing and a LOT of extra miles on my Odo. I was not pleased.)

Ouch not nice to come back to your pride and joy being treated like that :(. Hope they listen to you this time and fix the door handle problem this time.
