If I’m understanding correctly, the kpm800 powers two pumps off of a single fpdm. This being the case, you do lose some level of diagnostics because the fpdm is checking for too much or too little resistance from the pump. If one pump fails the diagnostics may not work properly. Also, there is no filter so you’ll need to add their filter kit.

The dw400 can supply plenty of fuel up to e85 at 800+ rwhp with a bap. They are more capable than stock, but not dramatically. However, the dw400 does basically nothing to improve bucket filling and kpm has an excellent design for this. Bucket filling rate is often overlooked.

For road course, I’d probably lean in the direction of kpm.

I did the KPM because fuel starvation in corners was a big issue for me. The install was very straightforward, but I solved the fuel filter with an OEM gt350 fuel line with inline filter. KPM would recommend a better (lower miicron) filter FWIW. The fuel filter line was more involved than the nearly drop-in fuel hat from KPM. Its been great so far.

I have the KPM 1000 remember thats rated Hp at the crank and I installed my filter on the fuel rail

KPM800 is a single Bosch pump without a post-pump filter. It's a simple drop-in bucket assembly and only takes a few minutes to install. I considered the GT350 fuel line swap but I ended using a Radium Filter with 6-micron microglass media filter cartridge compatible with the E85 I run (true rating , not average like a stainless mesh filter) to better protect the direct injection system that GT350 and GT500 never had. I fabricated a simple bracket to mount the filter to the shock tower using existing holes and a weldnut and it fits under the cowl/strut bracing and still leaves access to the dipstick.

Does that fuel line have enough slack to allow for engine movement?

Plenty, there is another GTO fuel line option one inch longer but the shorter ones function fine with plenty of slack. The Radium Filter is a definite upgrade over the Deatschwerks filter I originally mounted to the valve cover.

Were you able to replace the k-brace and strut tower brace?

I can tell you with 100% certainty the DW400 WILL NOT fix the issue. I tried it, but still had fuel cut issues tracking out of fast left turns and when revving over 6k on hot track days.

I installed the KPM800 last weekend and will be giving it a tough test on 8-15. Track day at Hallett. Temps will reach 103. Ya......f ing hot. I'll report my findings in between sessions. I did a shakedown on some empty OKC roads and had no issues revving the car to 7500 on multiple occasions, so I am optimistic this will be the remedy.

This is exactly what I experienced on a warm, fast left hander last year. The car actually went into limp mode for a little afterwards. This explains a lot. I hate the idea of dropping $1k though.

My mistake; I thought all the KPM buckets had twin pumps. That being the case, the FPDM diagnostics shouldn't be an issue.
KPM800 has one pump. KPM1000 has two. There's a whole lineup above that too.

Yes, I have the Aluminum strut tower brace so I don't know if there are any clearance differences with the steel version. I did trim one end of the aluminum filter bracket to clear the strut brace plus the mounting ear for the sound tube is also removed for better clearance to the steel (blue) filter support bracket. The bottom joint is where the weld nut is and it really helps with the installation if you don't have a helper on the other side of the strut tower.
