Completed early 10r80 trans fluid change - under 20k miles

I was told my 24GT R10 has permanent trans fluid. I don't believe it. Can it really go 10 years or high mileage? I personally doubt it. There are many articles and you tube videos explaining exactly why if you wait to long and change it the Trans will start slipping. I don't know what too long is. There is no guidance from Ford. Does anybody know what a reasonable interval is? is years, miles, or both. Thank you.

Lifetime fluid = lifetime of the trans is until it dies

Will it go 150k? Maybe.

Should you change it before then? Yes.

The auto companies that have 'lifetime' transmission fluid are the same ones who want you to run 10-12k oil changes....think about it.

Fluid changes used to be recommended at 60k miles or there about. Sometimes up to 100k. Severe duty recommendations were around 30k. I'd say pick something in that range that you're comfortable with and run with it.
