🤣 I’ve lived in Austin, TX area since ‘82 but was born in Oak Park and grew up in Elgin, Dundee and Aurora, IL before parents moved close to grandparents. Still waiting for the Bears to pull another ‘85 but at least the Cubbies finally got it done in ‘16.
That’s awesome I’m out in Geneva haha. Small world always. Wish I was like you and lived in Austin.

My dad is actually from Philly so I was raised an Eagles fan, but I hope for my friends sake that the Bears can pull it off at some point. My mom is also a huge Cubs fan, so that made her pretty happy!

Yes, it is a small world.

Do you really wish that though?

Holy hell. I don’t mind the heat though, so much as the winter. But, things aren’t great here as is on the warmth side.

Next time I have my GT350R base out, I’ll run it across the scales. I think I’m under half a tank too…
Plus it’s a voodoo so it’s probably 4 quarts low on oil… 😁
It should be a lot lighter than the 2019-2020 we are using for this comparison to keep things “fair”. @PP0001 weighed his 2018 base GT350R and it came in around 3620 lbs!

I am running the 2019-2020 wheels, I would assume they’re about the same as that!
OEM GT350 wheels with tires are 58lbs front and 58.7lbs rear with tires. Bathroom non scientific scale. CF R wheels w tires shave 10lbs

I am running stock M1 HP tire size so 305/30/19 front and 315/30/19 rear. Slightly larger than the 350 tires as you know. That probably works in the 350’s favor as well for weight savings. I saw the core wheels themselves though for both the M1 HP and 350 without tires are both give or take 31 lbs.

Go to the scale with your car. please. And yes, they ask you to exit the vehicle. And usually it's a before and after weigh in at those places because they're weighing trucks loaded and empty. So you get a discount for the second weighing.

That’s awesome. Was born and raised in Aurora. I’m currently just down the road from Alec (Mach 307) by about 10 minutes.

Been to Austin numerous times over the years for work. July and August are not the months to go visiting LOL

I weighed my S197 with a Whipple, aftermarket wheels and driveshaft, aftermarket BMR suspension in the rear, leather interior etc and 90lbs of weight (two Olympic plates in the trunk)

would be 3570lb without the weights. Since then I have pulled the front sway bar, K brace, and added the BMR radiator brace to shed a little more weight

@robvas is the S197 line lighter across the board than the S550s? I never gave that era of mustang much thought. 400lbs is a lot.

@MAGS1 and as per the course, the GT500 gets fat.

It took a while but finally I located the CAT Scale Ticket for JR157.
