This is my 2017 GT that I've had for 6 years now. Started hearing this noise about a month or two ago and its happening more frequently now. Very noticeable when taking off from stops, shifting into reverse, and occaisonally I will even hear it when accelerating hard. This is my daily right now, so would love to hear if anyone has experience with this or ideas!

Tighten your wheel nuts. I had / have the same noise after wheel bearing replacement because I used the OEM nuts again ( once use only , as they are torque to yield ) I have a new set to put on.

In your case just tighten the axle nut and it will be fine.

Okay perfect, what even causes this? Just not tightening stuff back? Ford recently did new brakes and fixed a pinion seal leak about a year ago.

It’s pretty common across the S550 planform that axle nut tend to loosen over time , it’s natural movement that causes it. Also bearing problems are very common , heavy car , big tyres lots of load on the bearings.
