Sync3 decided to completely forget my Android phone again, this time while I was pumping gas. And this time, no amount of resetting the phone or the car will cause it to recognize.

Between this and the defaulting to AM radio if I choose *not* to plug in a device, I'm absolutely fed up with this dogshit infotainment system. I guess I get to pay a dealer $300 to sort of Ford's tech abortion now.

I recall there being some updates on those done by the dealer back then within a few years of the cars build date. My 17 250 and 16 Gt had them done. It’s annoying no doubt. Not defending Ford at all but this isn’t exclusive to just Ford. My neighbors brand new M series suv, 2-300 miles, is having all kinds of issues with his iphone to. On the plus side for my cars, they’re all Fords and haven’t had any issues with infotainments. From 20 up.

The only issue I have had on my 19 is with control of my ipod. At first the unit would allow me on screen to search the Playlist and select music to play. Then, stupidly I upgraded to a newer version from Sync 3, and lost that capability. I posted about it when it happened to see if anyone had a fix, but got nothing.

What happened to the good old days of plugging your ipod classic into the aux/audio plug and listening to music WITHOUT having to worry about firmware updates, bluetooth, etc etc..

cassette tapes were a big fail.. I have to admit.....especially when they got wound up in my player or melted on a hot summer day.. cd's were a revelation.. the first ipod's solved all of the mechanical issues, but vinyl was still the best sounding in my opinion. At some point there is the law of diminishing returns... and this whole sync 3 stuff is at that point...

I would take my old school Alpine head units for the stereo side every day of the week as opposed to using loc’s and dsp’s in my trucks with stereo’s.
cannot argue🍺😬👍🏼

Ah, Alpine and the glowing green. I rocked Eclipse or Pioneer Premier CD decks with detachable faces back in ‘92-95. 16-Bit 8X Oversampling, no skipping lol
