I do recall a post here by a member who bought a never-titled S550 a few years after it was produced (3 years or so IIRC). I seem to recall it turned out his warranty counter began only under his use and he was able to discover this and make use of it to get some problems with the car covered.
What I figured. New car, advertised as new car warranty Ford would have to honor it or they could be sued. If the 2015 was offered at a VERY steep discount of course it would be a good buy but I'd make them replace all the fluids and check the hoses as well, everything and have them replace before purchase.

I was watching a random video on youtube the other day and a three year old NEW Hellcat 2023 model sitting on the lot and out in the open elements. Brand new and want new car prices for it still. Could get low miles used one for cheaper. Let their overpriced stuff sit on the lots.

Still, it's a 2015. However if it's bought new, it's bought new. Should be no issues with warranty. However better be a STEEP discount on it. I don't care if it's new. It's 11 years old. Why is the dealer holding onto it for years taking up space? It's not a Shelby.
To answer your question about why hold on to it…

They’re holding on to it because:
1) It’s a true 50th LE and there were only 1,964 ever built
2) market speculation because the values on them are increasing over time due to the fact some are being eliminated due to salvage events.
3) they can - many Ford Dealer owners buy unique limited produced Fords and sit on them for years… or display them in their show room for conversation pieces.

As was previously mentioned, there was a Ford Dealer who had a 2000 Cobra R that sat in their showroom since new…. Until it was recently wrecked by a vehicle crashing through their showroom…. So yes, 24 years that car was NEW sitting in a showroom until this happened:

While it's a Cobra R, those were some of the sh*ttiest years of Mustangs produced minus the mid and late 70s cars. They were ugly. Hard to believe while rare, the Cobra R is slower than our 2015 + GTs yet go for over 100 grand. Even though a collectable there are many more cars that are 6 figures I'd rather own.

I bought my brand new 2022 GT last May (2025) and it came with a full warranty. Dealership ordered it for a customer and couldn’t sell it to them because of a steering recall that took a few years to complete. By that time the buyer had moved on.

After Ford spending 15 years of R&D regarding all things Mustang are you suggesting that a 2000 Cobra R should be a better handling, steering, braking and overall performing Mustang than a 2015 Mustang GT based on all of Ford Racing's engineering, developments and improvements over those many years?

Aside from the performance standpoint of a Cobra R, are you aware of some of the unique characteristics which that vehicle employs such as the 5.4L DOHC modular V8 engine, side exhaust, 21-gallon fuel cell, high rise fiberglass hood, Eibach springs and Bilstein shocks, numerous delete items such as no back seat, no AC or radio or cruise control.

With only 300 units built it is a collectible Mustang and wondering if you have ever had any seat time of one of these units?

Has the IRS as well, which only the Cobras got in that generation of Mustang. Was a very cool car for its time, and still pretty awesome today. I’ve only ever seen one in person at a car show several years ago. Obviously a very rare car.

It sounds like so many people think that it is outrageous that this car would be asking the full sticker price, and I wouldn't want to pay it either, but in my area a 2015 BASE model GT with fabric seats and 50,000 miles almost always has an asking price over $30,000. For a special car with no miles, to be in the 40s seems much easier to swallow considering it is not a regular GT.

Agreed. It’s still a brand new car. Account for the inflation today, and you’re getting a deal.

Numbered car with matching VIN, still in the wrapper, I’d absolutely pay sticker for it. Put it on an auction site or Mecum or something and it likely goes above sticker by a fair amount.

I ordered my '15 on 1-2-15, and there was a WW 50th LE sitting in the showroom that day. They had a markup on it, of course. I offered full sticker price for it, but was denied. It's probably in the dealer owners' collection today. Oh well, I got X-plan pricing for mine, a steal considering what its equivalent costs today.

I'd pay sticker for the car in question here also.
