According to the videos in 2024, they ran the car in July, but didn't say anything until December. But they did a full blow press release, documentary video, etc.

When they went faster in september (6:52), the video didn't come out until may

The Ford GT Mk IV announcement came out almost instantly.

Corvette ran on June 24, GM announced it on July 31
I am thinking they know the car has more in it and want to hit that 6:3X.XX number before official announcement. If the euro spec car was that fast, the US car hypothetically has even more left in the tank.

Excellent bar room banter. But terrible form on a forum. LOL
All true.

I called Multimatic today and we made progress. They are now going to make the long tail GTD with all this power legal for the streets in Germany (because that's where the Ring is silly) but not here in the US where it doesn't matter. You guys can thank me later.

Never argue with an idiot. They'll just drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

What an effort. You can see how far these guys have progressed and I can only imagine how well they'll do if they so choose to run the GTD for another official time. I honestly think they can hit sub 6:40 if the stars align on a Whippled, street legal car (here in the US at least) at that.

This video is simply....whoa. Go sit in front of a large monitor, crank up the volume, and move closer to the screen than you ever did as a kid. Dizzying sense of speed puts it lightly, I think.

Superb camera placement as they captured a heck of a ride. Amazing how rock solid the vehicle is too on both the inside and the outside.

New GTD time is legendary stuff. Street legal production car from America putting the usual suspects in their place. THIS is what the GTD was meant to be.

only the AMG One is faster.

and boe we circle back to Multimatic, who for various reasons acknowledged the One would not be s realistic target. But they figured they’d whoop Porsche. And the prophecy has been fulfilled.
