Scheduling my 2026 HPDE events and discovered PittRace has been sold and will be repurposed, not as a race track. Sooo Sad! What an amazing track and facility!

Peoria Sports Complex this Saturday .

Just thought I'd circle back , the Show was nice , I think the final count was over 250 vehicles , more Bowties than Blue Ovals . My first time at this show , I figured sponsored by Izzy's Rod Shop it would be a cross section of vehicles . There were definitely more Trucks (Lowered) and Rat Rods than Street Rods, Early Muscle and Late Model Performance. We still had a very good day, sunny and 80 , The Show was at the Seattle Mariners spring training facility in Peoria Az . with Restaurants up and down both sides of the street to get a bite and a beer or pop. Will we do this venues again , most likely not , as there were 2 other events (1 we had attended the last 4 years) that fit better with our vehicles. My buddies Red 1964 Mercury Cyclone.

That, they are. I saw Chuckwalla is up for sale. Think our group can pool together $26 million to buy it?


Oklahoma (and a few other states) has a bill going through the house that basically says new residents of an area that has an existing track can't be little bitches and request the track close due to noise issues.

I'm signed up for HPDE @ Hallett March 28th and 29th. Did a diff and trans fluid swap yesterday. Stupid easy maintenance on my Mach 1....major pain in the ass on my ExST. I am excited to see how my offseason mods will work (2 piece rotors, Apex wheels, new RE71RS tires).

Yeah that's sad too. I mean, I get it - I'm sure the owners can make a lot more money selling the land to be used as warehouses/distribution or housing or data centers but with each one dropping, it feels like our hobby is under attack. Street driving and canyons just don't compare.

That's how it should be. Makes zero sense for people to knowingly move next to a race track and then complain about the race track. (Though I think money has much more to do with tracks closing than Karens complaining).

I feel like it’s us low(er) budget guys that are getting Squeezed out. High end, member only condo track are flourishing. Look at Flatrock motorclub in Tennessee and motorsports Gateway here in Michigan.
