Hey all, I'm wanting to try out the Continental ECS02 tires. Upgrading from Pirelli. My car is a 21 with the GT Performance Package. Current tire sizes are: 255/40ZR19 and 275/40ZR19.
Should I mostly do high performance street driving. I like corners, high speed, braking and launches.
Should I keep with the factory tire size or change up to wider, taller?
Any/all input appreciated.

Thanks!
I have a 21 gt, got a set of used gt350 rims and put 305/30 19's Conti ecs+02 all the way around. No other suspension changes but some chassis stiffening front and rear. Car hooks great now in nice weather and corners like a go cart.

This is doable, and doesn't change your tire specs, other than gives you a little more width front to back , and your wheel width will support. Keep the PP1 option of staggered.
If your brand supports the size . Have fun

Tiresize.com is another good one. Allows you to compare different sizes.

I have not done this yet but I heard that if you find a tire that came factory from Ford, you can enter that code in your computer using Forscan. That will keep your speedometer correct.

Finding a code that has the closest overall diameter will get you near too.

Going from 40 to 30 series , which means slower by 2.9 mph , and equates to more MPG , and less miles on the odometer. :)

Current is previous size 65 mph, New is current size 62.1 mph , so less MPH = more MPG , and a bonus of less miles traveled on the Odometer.
Thanks to Jed Clampett's nephew Jethro Bodine and his goesinta's (math) :)

I went 295 34R 19 from 275 40R 19. I wanted to fill the wheel wells without going too big. Fronts are going 275 35R 19. Just be aware, these are a little shorter than oem so it will throw the speedo off (faster) by about 1.5 MPH. I fixed that with Forscan. If it doesn't bother you, dont worry about it
