20” wheels are a problem. Really limits selection BUT you can improve on the MP4S with some of the extreme performance summer tire options like the Nankang CRS, and GY Supercar 3, but the tire I like the most in that category, thr Yokohama A052 doesnt come in full width 20x11 sizes, although I think a 285 or the 295 might fit an 11” wheel. A 18” wheel would be easier.

hooking in a low gear with 800hp is not really easy outside of a drag tire and a prepped surface, but the above tires are a step up in linear grip when in their temperature range

I'm using the NT555R2's and they do give me a lot more traction at 825HP, but I have only been using them for a couple of months. What I did learn is this will put more stress on the rest of the drivetrain and I ended up glazing over my RST clutch because I pushed it too hard from a stop. So be careful if you go with something stickier.

A few of us have been experimenting with boost/power by gear with the PCMTEC software. Ive been in the 1.7s 60 ft with 275/40/19 General GMAX all season tires with 3.31 rear gear and calimer stage 3 mt82 ratios. I have 3.55 rear currently and an still able to cut sub 2.0s with the all seasons.

More of a reason to avoid the RST than anything else IMO

Right, I'm getting it rebuilt and upgraded to the RXT right now with McLeod. I'll just need to change my driving habits off the line to avoid the RXT taking out my MT82. I think I'll be reading up on the PCMTEC as well, that sounds promising.
