@MAGS1 what your definition of a clean example? Or maybe detailed description?

Accident free, no mods (or least limited cosmetic mods that can be returned to stock), service history available, low # of owners (at this point less than 4-5 owners). Paint should be in good shape (I can live with some paint chips from a car being driven but others may not).

Edit: For me, the car wouldn’t have to be a museum piece because I drive my cars, but I would look for something that’s been well cared for. Looking at the Alcantara on the steering wheel would tell me a lot. If it’s greasy and matted down, I would walk away because other parts of the car were likely neglected as well

I’ve looked. That market is completely bonkers. And it rolling into the 197 market also.

B302’s spiked big time during Covid, I was looking at a couple but the prices got crazy. They’ve slowed some but the good, clean, low mileage examples still command a pretty penny. Even more so if it’s an LS.

In 2019, I got a 2012 GT, 75K miles, two owner, bone. fucking. stock; $15K even. I'd even label it perfect, factoring in normal wear and tear for 75K miles. Paint is immaculate (a deal breaker for me) and my paint/detail standars are horrible.

This car in that condition would bring $25 plus for the right buyer today.

Sold my 2017 a couple years ago after it blew and because I had a baby on the way. Literally haven’t stopped thinking about that exhaust note since then.

Buying a 2017 next week because I missed it so bad. So happy to come back.

No disrespect intended to anyone but you had a run of the mill 5.0 GT. In theory one can always go back and replace that pretty much anytime . It's the speciality Mustangs that become classics that prove to be much more difficult to acquire in future years.

No disrespect taken, I get what you mean. But in reality even a special edition mustang is a run of the mill car in general. There are plenty more rare and faster. All that matters is how special it is to the owner.

Mine was a fully loaded manual with a glass roof. That was an option I loved and since I couldn’t get that on an S550 I bought a Bronco instead. So even though it wasn’t a special edition in trim terms, it was a lot more rare than many special editions.

The point is when a man is making a decision for the best for his family, no machine no matter how special can top that. No matter how many broken marriages are out there that will always be true.

I have no idea into the OP’s relationship or their financial situation, but if it’s all legit he might miss the car, but not regret the decision if it requires selling.

I can't stop laughing, halerious and so true... I herd a statistic a while back, depending on where you live, they rate to how long they will last before she calls her lawyer in for the slaughter. I remember this part , on average 7 out of 10 marriages don't last 5 years, 2 make it 8 years ,the last makes til old age . Can I call a Televangelist for you before it's to late . Glad your keeping the car . Hallelujah the Televangelist did his job , I was praying for you.

If she is worth it, she won't let you sell it! I have two Mustangs and six Harley's. Every time I bring home a new toy, I am met with love, not demands to sell something. If it is paid off KEEP IT! If not scale back the wedding costs.
