I resisted Touch-less because of that stupid PIR calculation. However, I would urge you to do the PIR test for two reasons.

1 - If you just do a typical foam cannon dilution, you probably won't see it work properly. The whole idea of Touch-less (and take note that it's touching less, not completely touchless) is that you have it work away at grime without having to agitate. I found that simply guessing a dilution had the product not doing a single thing. Why? Because my pressure washer was over diluting it, rendering it useless. The whole concept of the PIR calculation is to account for varying application methods and varying pressure washer outputs.

2 - If you over-dose the ratio, you significantly increase the risk of causing damage to plastic trims. I have had it do this before, and even the OG man himself found this out the hard way, destroying the trim on his prized low mile M3 and brand-new Tesla. In his case, that was at the full 2% PIR and after being left a little too long on the car. Knowing how well you keep your cars, the 1% PIR will be more than effective, and I suggest keeping an eye on it while on the car.

I know you don't like OG, but they have a PIR calculator on their website, meaning all you have to do is measure the output of your foam cannon and pressure washer into a bucket, then punch the numbers into the calculator. This is a one-time job, from there you can work out several PIR percentages to suit your needs, write it on the gallon and your set until something within your system changes.

These numbers are based on a Kranzle KHD10 with 10+ litres per minute (2.64+ GPM). Prior to Touch-less v2, I was having to use it undiluted in the foam cannon as the pressure washer was flowing too much.

Finally, take note that in any PIR or dilution, Touch-less is a runnier foam than you may expect. This is by design as they want it to fall down the panel as it dissolves dirt. I'd also suggest rinsing upwards, trust me here, it may sound counterproductive, but it seems to work better if done this way.

It was an impulse buy, I might try it, but if I can read a chart that is fine, but not dealing with that whole emptying a foam canon . My 2.3 will go thru it like a drunken sailor, I do know that, the PF22.2 doesn't drink soap near as fast as my Active so it will vary based on which canon I use.. :( Based on your numbers alone, I figure a 1% PIR with my 2.3 Active, I figure about 150 mil probably will be the sweet spot (or probably 75 mil with 500 mil of water to keep from wasting it). And I don't see myself ever using it on my cars anyway, like you said, my cars are super well maintained unless i use it at the end of the winter season to do a deep clean before spring

It’s an easy process to figure out, takes a minute or so depending on how fast your cannon empties.

As for use, it’s for those times when you had to skip a wash because of rain or you just got lazy, or whatever. It’s not an “every wash” kind of product…

Yeah I might figure it out. Just will be different for different canons. I'll probably dedicate one to touch less since I have 4 canons. And one more on the way (DRFT). Probably dedicate one of my PF22.2

This might be an odd question but has anyone used Amazon for rag company products? Needed a gauntlet towel asap so used Amazon for speed of shipping but I just got it and it's not the same. The knit seems less defined and the color is lighter but that could just be because it hasn't been washed yet? Does this seem real or is this a knockoff?

I've ordered from Amazon before, quite frequently actually due to prime shipping speed, and have gotten in The Rag Company packaging just like from TRC. I believe they buy in bulk from TRC for their warehouses. You even have the option to buy directly from Amazon on the TRC website...

Yep, I still have my original packaging from the website Amazon packaging was 100% identical. I want to wash it and see what happens but what's a good way to clean just 1 item? I have the rags to riches cleaner but I don't want to run the washer for literally 1 item though. (I'll do it but I'm not sure if I need a full batch of cleaner or just like 1/4 instead of I think it's 1oz for a load)

Only do this for low to no soiling, or to soak used rags that have been used for ceramic sealants etc...

Microfiber is dyed so the could have adjusted the color in later production. TRC send their products to Amazon so you’re getting the same thing, just from a new retailer.

For small jobs or extra soiled rags you can fill a bucket of sink with water and RTR. Let it soak awhile and the agitate by hand.

I hear what you're saying with regard to being "blinded" and while I have been fooled in the past with products that have a hundred percent chineesium parts but assembled here bring on the claim, "Made in USA." These days I investigate more thoroughly prior to purchase and if there is any doubt, I will absolutely not purchase the item and either go without or, find a reputable US merchant with a similar product if I can. If I can't, I decide whether the product is essential or not and if it is, I buy the chineesium.

Some of you are old enough to remember what "Made in Japan" meant back in the day. Almost no one would buy these products because of the attack on Pearl Harbor and the resulting war. BION, the Japaneese actually named a city "USA" (pronounced oo-sa,) to try and fool us. And now Japan is one of our allies and china is the enemy. SOSDD.

One of the little "patriotic" things that I do is to fly the colors on designated flag days and, fly it properly. There are others who probably believe they are patriotic because they fly the colors 24/7 without lighting, until the poor flag is faded, tattered, and torn. I have two neighbors near me who do this and it makes me very angry.

Here's our flagpole next to my man, Navy Captain Gene Cernan, (RIP Gene) who saluted the flag on Apollo 17 on 12DEC72, and he unfortunately, became the last man on the moon.

There is an integrated nozzle holder on the side of the gun.

..which means you don't have to pull back on the connector to install a nozzle, foam cannon or lance.

Also very helpful as it won't require two hands.

The foam cannon has detent clicks for the spray angle, likewise the top dial.

As the PF22 should have had from the gitgo!

But if a better product is made in Germany, Italy, Japan, or hell…even China I’m not going to whine about it.

This is where we differ a bit, Brian. For example, I will never purchase a foreign vehicle even if it/they are known to be better. I want that very large chunk of my hard-earned money to go to our country, not to some other country.

That works for vehicles but it gets a lot more complicated with parts made in China but the final product is assembled here and the manufacturer uses "Made in the US." That too pisses me off to no end. Granted, labor costs in China are paltry compared to here and that is something US manufacturers AND labor need to get their head around.

Only do this for low to no soiling, or to soak used rags that have been used for ceramic sealants etc...

My process with the other ones is cold water wash in the washer on delicate/casual with the cleaner, dryer on delicate setting for 30-60 min and if needed more then air dry/tumble for 30 min more and then off to the bucket for storage. But do you think it's a genuine item? Not going to waste my time or cleaner if I'll end up returning it. Just replacing some that unfortunately got mixed up and got run through on hot water and max heat dry for 90 min so I don't wanna use em in my paint (tbh my paint is shit rn anyways. 90% of the cars been repainted but it's super scratched from caliber collision washing it. It's actually back at them run for more paint /polishing but they won't polish the entire thing. Going to have to get it detailed and probably ceramic coated afterwords. They can't seem to paint my car without 50 dirt nibs per panel and it's pissing me off being without any car for weeks now

I don't see why it wouldn't be genuine. It looks fine to me. As has been said, variations in dye and manufacturing could cause the difference. And once mine were washed, the texture changed anyway.
