Was planning to just clean the K&N, but when I pulled it off I noticed it had almost rubbed through from sitting against the turn signal housing.

Ended up grabbing a new K&N and tweaked the ESS intake tube a bit so it’s not touching anything now.

The wife and I took the mustang to KC Friday to watch her daughter show sheep in the American Royal. On the way home just cruising it made a weird sound and the head temps started climbing quickly. Pulled over to see that one of the idler pulleys on the supercharger bracket came a part and broke the belt. Ended up waiting 4.5 hrs on the side of the road waiting for my dad to bring his truck and a trailer from Springfield(about 2 hrs away) to pull me home. Hopefully ESS is good on their warranty. Dragged it home and going to take the blower and bracket off tomorrow.

Emailed ESS this morning. The email said that it could take up to 3 days to respond. Anyone have a number that I can call?

ESS reached out to me about an hour ago(6:15ish central time) on the phone. Said that it was weird for that pulley to go bad. But, he said that he would have a new pulley and belt out today overnight! Outstanding customer service so far!

I have your clone in the UK. I added a little orange pinstripe to my factory stripes and blacked out the accoutrements, apart from that, looks like separated at birth ha ha

Today she had her 3rd Ford service (@8,262 miles) and 1st MOT.
Green light on everything and the technician told the valeter "NOT TO TOUCH THIS CAR AT ALL AS IT IS IMMACULATE".
Happy in many respects he said that but unhappy when I got her back as she had been parked next to the corner of the workshop and that is obviously where all the birds hang their arses over to take a crap.
So another thing to happen today will be a wash! Ha ha

Lucky you! I took mine to my local dealership for her 2nd service. It was also in immaculate condition, but the tech parked it in a back lot, driving through mud puddles which coated the underside with muddy water and globs of gooey mud - including the exhaust tips.

To say I was upset was an understatement, but a quick wash with undercarriage spray seemed to have resolved the issue.

Still, shouldn't have happened in the first place.

Installed the Barton shifter and took it for a test drive last night, it still pops out of second gear. The new shifter did not correct the problem, so it looks like this winter it will get a new transmission. Calimer is my choice of transmissions. I will have to look at a new clutch as well and I haven't decided on what I will put in, but I think it will be a ceramic disc set up for the longevity that it provides, I don't plan on drag racing the car, but I can't rule out a day at the track just to see what it can turn in the 1/4 mile. I bought the car this spring from a used car lot, it only had 31K on it, so I don't know the driving history of the vehicle. I didn't have a problem with it popping out of second gear until I added power to the car. It has Stainless Power catted LTH, MBRP 3" cat back exhaust, CAI, 2018 intake manifold with lock outs, UPR oil catch can, and an Auto Mafia performance tune. It was after the tune that I started having the second gear issues. Oh, and now the Barton short throw shifter. It could be a bad or bent fork or synchro's. At this point it is not worth a rebuild if the transmission is the weak point. If I use a Calimer, I can still use the Barton shifter and the aluminum drive shaft, and it is a direct swap.

I should have said it only pops out of gear when down shifting or if I am driving in second gear and back off the throttle. I can put the coals to it, and it is solid in all the gears, pulls hard and runs like a scaled cat.

My aftermarket GT badge on my rear deck lid was beginning to lift so I got a new smooth gloss black deck lid instead. I like the smooth look more than I thought I would.

Love Triple Yellow, I miss having that color in my garage (don’t really miss the V6 that was in it though 🤣).

I am glad that we don't have testing in Minnesota. The state gets enough of my money. All I did was wash the car and go grocery shopping. I do like the Barton shifter I just installed Thursday. It is still real stiff, but I can tell it will loosen up as it gets used. It is much better than the stock shifter.

Changed oil today, will put seafoam in, top off tank and clean tomorrow pull into garage, put tires at 45psi and plug in and cover (climate controlled garage) until the salt is off the road in the spring. I miss it already.
