The cure for me was putting the stock resonator and cat back on the car. I have zero rasp and it sounds so much better.

if you want to hear it:
I can agree with the stock catback. Especially if you have active exhaust. I had the borla s type on my old car. It was loud. I kept the active exhaust on this car and it's way better.

I’d be asking to have that fixed because that’s no good. The RPM is all over the place and it sounds like it’s going to die several times. Ethanol cold starts can be tuned to be the same as pump gas. Ford has literally told us how much cranking fuel these engines need on E85, yet tuners still get it wrong.
On my car the red one or are you referring to the white one?

The white one. Sorry for the hijack, I just heard that startup and had to say something.

Unfortunately I dealt with this (Headers and Borla S type). Either ditch the headers or the Borla. I compromised and put the Borla resonator on mine and it toned it down enough to be tolerable. But unfortunately it never was pleasing to me after I did it. I sold the car not long after that, don't plan on doing that again...

So there is no cure minus taking off some of the exhaust back to stock?
Just an observation - parking rear end in up against that concrete wall won't be helping.

If it's only the initial cold start that bothers you, I believe some have messed around with pool noodles and had good results.

Cheaper than a new exhaust ... :like:

The Borla 60661 resonator made a world of difference for me. It actually sounded pretty good. And mine was S type and catted, so it will be a bit louder for you...
